i want a part two! that was awesome! as a nurse, the hospital scene got me. the rote instructions she was giving without even looking up. his frustration and fear were palpable. how does this only have 602 upvotes?
I wish this was a series, not a short film! So good! So mysterious, unique plot. Love that it was mostly HOH and deaf cast, it gave it a more intimate feel. And the husband could obviously understand what deaf is being like, the friends of him too.
Among the tons of short pictures I have seen over the years, this one is at the top with the best. I will definitely not forget the name Chrissy Marshall
I'm not deaf but I actually became self aware of my own tinnitus right before they started talking about it in the car scene. That was creepy 😅 I had to pause the video to make sure it wasn't the video I was hearing
You are sooo talented!! I literally had chills the entire time!! It's also really neat how you were able to show the struggle of wearing hearing aids/cochlears in such a busy/noisy world and how they don't always actually help you hear 100% clearly. This incredible short film kept reminding me of quite a few of my friends who are both hearing aid users and they talk about the same struggle! Also, i have Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), and slight hard of hearing so I totally get it the frustration aspect! Thank you for bringing all of this to light in such a creative and pretty creepy/spooky way lol !! :)
Very nicely done. I love the way this was shot, utilizing such techniques and aesthetics as eerie camera angles, muted colors, and pacing that is altogether uncomfortable while also effectively transitioning from one story point to another. Interesting that you left the film open-ended -- it could have gone anywhere from that moment, but sometimes it's fun to leave things up to the audience's imagination. The use of sound effects and music was great, as well; it really adds to the creepiness, and I liked that you guys used actual hearing devices and whatnot to ensure that authenticity. Never expected to see something like this on your channel, but, as an appreciator of cinema, I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed!
This was really good 👍. It is definitely a scary story that I’m sure a lot of people can relate to as well. Every actor/ actress in it deserves praise, they did a fantastic job.
Every now and then, late in the evening, it would seem my tinnitus would do something really strange, but it turned out, it was my watch alarm, so I reset it. Also, once a year and a half ago, someone on a bike tried to redirect me, also on a bike, my understanding of the situation luckily overrode his attempts to seclude me, as I was in danger from him. The common thread is always their attempt to seclude. Once on campus someone stood in my path and tried to convince/confuse/derail/seclude me, his eyes were on the foot traffic around me, and he was much larger than me. At the perfect moment, classes got out, and the pathways were flooded with at least a thousand people, still my thinking and moving were not connected, someone walked between me and him and I pushed my bike forward and got out of there, by-a-hair, my bike on the verge of derailing. Things I learned, keep-up your bike, always go fast, or walk with others you know. Maybe speak into your coat say loudly "Hot-dog, Hot-dog, Move-in, Move-in, Move-in", as if it were a scene in a movie when all bystanders turn out to be supporting agents, that's how I felt.
This needs to be a complete movie, not only a short one. This deserves to be a full-length movie. Please tell me, that it's gonna be a full movie in the future. I want to donate to a kickstarter campaign, I want this f***** movie so bad.
omg that was amazing !! chills you’re amazing i hope you continue to make more films this was amazing had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. ahh 🤟🏽🤟🏽
this was a great watch!!! definitely a terrifying thought and this was beautifully shot!!! im also a deaf filmmaker (in school) so this was really cool to watch!!!
This is incredibly good! Well paced, acted, directed, shot... everything! And excellently creepy! Great job! :D Also, while I'm here, thank you for your videos and advocacy. I've a unilateral loss since very early childhood (maybe since birth, but they didn't really check back then). I'm trying to understand and embrace the HoH part of me and what that means, especially as age brings more hearing issues. I truly appreciate the perspective and joy you bring here!
wooow this gave me chills !! it could make a good movie omg !! i was so into it i want to know what happens next ! you're good it's amazing job !! ♥♥keep going !
I am full hearing and I think I am story illiterate lol. What's the voice in her ear supposed to represent? Why'd she keep dying/ getting hurt via her hearing aids?
I wish there was more, because I feel like this wasn’t enough to be a complete story. Cool idea, but too short and choppy. I didn’t really know what was going on for most of it.
I know it's fiction, but... She need to quit job for few days and stop using hearing aids. They could spend this time with Nick. And then it would be more clear if hearing aids do it or not.
While being deaf is probably the least dehibilating sensory defect for humans but its still something i wouldnt wish on anyone. Imagine not being able to experience the magic of music 😢
