- St Maries was my third stop on my 14 day trip through Northern Idaho. On my visit I explored the town, headed out on the St. Joe River for some fishing and off into the mountains on a Side by Side for some off road fun.

Have you ever gone fishing? What's the biggest thing you've ever caught?
Hey Alice,
I try to fish everyday somewhere it doesn’t always happen but that’s my goal. Sometimes it’s just to get out and explore to find new places. I guess my biggest fish is a striped Bass about 20+ pounds, we didn’t weigh it but we were pretty sure. Lots of big catfish. I pretty much Trout fish. My biggest Rainbow was about 29” not sure about the weight but it was amazing. It was fun to see you out there. Maybe you will develop a passion for it. All the places you go it would it epic 🤣👍
I caught a buzz.
most likely a tiger muskie around 5 feet long, it broke the 40 lbs. steel leader, it's head was on one side of my boat and the tail on the other directly under my boat, it was actually moving my boat around until the line broke.
I grew up in Louisiana in towns where everyone owns water front property. I can't remember the biggest fish But your story reminded me of fishing on larto lake in central Louisiana where my Grandpa Hudson was born, and catching the same size fish as you, while he was the world's greatest fisherman apparently.
Aside from the lunker bass I caught from farm ponds growing up, I'm most happy with a 18-inch brown trout I caught on Colorado's Conejos River.
Good afternoon Alice, always enjoy watching your videos at start of my Sunday evening
Thank you so much
I live in st maries
Very nice video. Love it.
Fishing? I have gone fishing once for snow crab on a commercial vessel. I don't know if this counts but we were 80 miles off shore on the Gulf of St Lawrence. 3 days... and those were enough being sea sick. The first day was calm, no land in sight but the next morning the waves were as high as the boat, rocking left and right. There was not much to look at to keep focused, to keep the eyesight balanced. Never again.
Fishing for crabs is certainly an extreme sort of fishing especially in that part of the world. We didn’t have any waves on this trip. Lakes are pretty calm
No cut off shorts or 👙 on the boat AND a fishing license?!? So poshhhh.
nice video ! l upload fishing videos in my channel too!
Nice!
Way too much to see and experience in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming...and Colorado. Thanks for the video travelogue of this area in Idaho. Decisions, decisions 🤔🤔
Glad you enjoyed it
ATV trip is very inviting. Being able to rent one for a day or two to explore would be great so I could stop and hike, eat lunch, etc. Tiny house would work for a day or two, but at 6'4", I need more room. Northern Idaho is very attractive. Any chance we could rearrange states so Idaho was next to Colorado and South Dakota? Already next to Montana, which is awesome.
Polaris are good 4x4- I think it makes the mule. I prefer the John Deere 4x4
Killer . Lemon shark . Good job on the fish and the donuts !
Thank you!
You failed to say here fishy fishy, that’s the secret.
No o wonder I didn’t catch anything 😉🤣
Caught a few sticks too, that's usually a good place for pike & muskie along a shoreline.
Yes we saw a bunch on the fish finder but I guess they already had lunch
@@AliceFordAdventures the weather & barometer usually affects fishing on some lakes, trolling can be frustrating when you're out there for hours and have nothing to show for it.
The water looked super blue and clean
Blue yes. The lake is cleaner than it was, logging and mining devastated this lake for years but they have spent millions cleaning up and getting back to a swimmable, fishable lake
Looks are deceiving. The mines up in the Silver Valley made the lake a mess. Don't eat the fish out of Lake Couer d'Alene.
Sticks or fish, its always great to be out there casting! Nice one Alice. :)
It sure is I love being out on the water
Look at you go girl, this is a little different than what you have been doing. When you come back to the North Ga area we should fish with one of the guides I use👍
Thanks Jim
