I love how your husband aren't picky, he takes everything useful and to me that is what dumpster diving is about, saving as much as he can. Happy dumpster diving! From South Africa
Welcome Sonja! Glad you enjoy watching the dumpster diving here in the U.S.♥️♥️…I’m planning on starting my own RUclips channel doing this to donate and supplement my pantry..Foid is expensive, but I know others who are worse off than me, so I’d like to share…♥️♥️
I see other divers that leave a big mess and it makes me so mad!! They dump everything out of the bags and leave it like that!! So thank you for cleaning up after yourselves ♥️♥️
What a huge haul!! Walnuts are very expensive. I promise u Aldi’s toss away tons of bananas each week. Some r still green. If I was physically able to, I sure would DD. The orange crop in Florida has had difficulty this season. Congratulations on the trailer for your car. What Yall do for the community & your friend’s & family are amazing. Such kind hearts. Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Mylar balloons folded up like an accordion and put in a tube socks tie sock in knot great crinkle toy for dogs and cats and other animals. use the appropriate size sock for animal in mind.
That is really cool you donate to St. Judes. It’s a great place to be if you have to be in the hospital. God bless you and hubby and DANNY THOMAS and his daughter for the hard work they do to save the children. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I go for food mainly. Tonight's score: yogurt, juice, sour cream, whipped cream, cheeses, half and half. Gave some to 4 different friends and my fridge is now full. I also enjoy going with my daughter around our college town when the students move out for things we will use.
Thanks for the great content, I want to echo many others and say you guys deserve everything you make because it’s a lot of hard work 😓 from searching for items, to processing, to fixing, to selling, to scrapping and most especially to Donating and Giving 👏🏻. I can’t speak for others but RUclips is a great resource for learning and entertainment as I don’t have cable t.v. anymore. You channel and many others like yours provide information and entertainment not just in the videos but also in the comments section. So keep up the good work, wishing you and yours good health and good fortune always!☺️
Mylar or mylar balloons inflated or flat, tie to fruit trees, grape vines, to prevent birds eating fruit! Works fine. You can slip a straw in and blow em up by hand or buy the balloon kit tank.
If you put the bags of walnuts into the freezer (similarly to flour, oats, pasta and similar products) dor at least 48 hrs, this will kill the bugs that hatch into moths, also they will last longer. The milar bags can be re-used, however for the ones you have you would need to put the food in another bag inside.
Heck yeah bananna nut bread every time i see those walnuts and banannas thats what I think of!Yall are my favorite divers !I do some but mostly for my farm animals and for clothing to donate or keep! Our first dive was so good we got a glab bag from 5 below and we got 5 wireless headphones a beautiful blanket lots of earrings so not bad!
Great findings Volt Family. I can't believe all those bags of walnuts, they are costly around here, good find! Always so much to be found and yet so much waste. I'm so thankful that you guys find all you possibly can and that you Donate to so many places and still look for more ways to Donate. Your appreciated, thank you for what you do. Thanks for sharing, stay safe.
Wow!!! a lot of balloons, candy, fruits and many more.... awesome score....god bless and keep safe.... watching from Puerto princesa city Palawan Philippines 😘😘
I've seen potato chip bags recycled into purses, I'm guessing that could be done with mylar too. Large cardboard can be recycled into furniture: dressers, tables, desks, bookcases. (Mr, DYI). Styrofoam makes excellent insulation. Last week I did my first dumpster dive. I went to my local Dollar general. Their dumpster is not directly behind the store but across a low-traffic street in an empty lot that is very open to view on all sides. It is on the corner of that street and a busy street. The dumpster was full to the top with large garbage bags that were full of paper. I no sooner checked out the first two when a car on the busy street pulled over to the curb, sat for a minute or two, then left. I was already scared sugar-honey-and-iced-tea-less, so I shoved those two bags back in and left. Walking home, I was about two blocks away from the dumpster on a side street one block over from the busy street when a FRICKIN' POLICE HELICOPTER buzzed over the busy street toward the dumpster!!!!!!!!!!!! I went back a couple days later. The dumpster had been emptied and new stuff was in it, boxes of junk food. So I learned that the dumpster is not emptied on the same day as my garbage pick-up day, that when it is full there will be plain garbage on top, but foodstuff is thrown in after it has been emptied. I want to try my local grocery store but there are apartment buildings across the street from that dumpster.
That's great that you are trying it out keep it up it gets easier and you will get more comfortable. Just always be careful. That's good that you are figuring out the schedule and what they throw away. When you find a place you like look around and see if there are other places near by to make a route out of it. Good luck and let us know how it goes and what you find.
Wax melts really are a great idea. My daughter made me some wax melts from my favorite candle when it got low. She knows I love music so she found some music note molds. They are so cute and they smell awesome. Lol
That's so cute great idea! Your daughter is so creative. I went on Amazon and bought some. It was so hard not to get more. Lol I need to pace myself. I will post some pics on the community section. I'm drying some lemons, oranges and flowers that we found dumpster diving to make some candles and wax melts.
@@voltdivin You're right my daughter is very creative. I definitely don't have the patience anymore lol. I can't wait to see the pictures. I know they're going to smell yummy with the fruit and the flowers. That's a great idea.
We go for everything because we have a ministry where we send almost everything we find. We do this as a side income too so we also sell a few items on eBay. Most gets sent to that ministry. Where we live the grocery store compact everything! 😞 and most big store compact everything too. It’s only a few small stores where we get our stuff and through personal dumps. We are grateful for all we find. It’s always the Lord’s will anyway! Thanks 🙏🏻❤️
You can get the silica ice cube molds from the dollar tree to make melted candle cubes. Also I'm not sure if California does this, but in Utah there are companies that will pay $5 for pallets, especially non broken one's. With the wood shortage companies are in need for them! I'm sure you can Google it😉
I just started diving for food. Within the last few days I have found a lot of fruits and veggies. I just hope I can start finding shelf stable food to donate.
If you have a foster kid thrift store, you are going to also have a foster kid and family support center. If you're able, watch to see how say a load of small toys are handled at the thrift store. If they don't go over well in terms of sales and head for thier dumpster, chrckmifmthry have a family give away location.
You can make wax melts with an ice tray. Spray tray lightly with cooking spray like Pam, pour in melted wax and when gets hardened again it will pop right out. No need to buy special melt trays.
on the milar bags if there clean and u have a way to seal them u can use them to vacu, seal food up there great they last for ever or ones i have used do
Those screens i n the fam in the plastic piece you can use them for a lot of different things and one it's real thick and come out of a TV or monitor you can cut use a cutting board for cut and strip copper and stuff
That STOP-sign was so cool! That could have been for personal use. The warning is mostly for when it’s on a post being used as an actual sign. It was trash now and will end up in bad places. I hope someone took it. That’s ok I know y’all are just being careful.
Hi Ruthless, I'm not sure which donations you are talking about. We do donate food to blessing boxes all the time and to local homeless. We are gathering a big load right now to donate to a thrift store that helps with foster kids. We are putting toiletry bags together for a local charity that helps foster kids. We do sell some stuff that we find. That helps us to keep doing this (We have bills to pay). We just recently bought a trailer so we can pick up more stuff and also be able to donate more in one load. We have a few items that we are saving up for to use for the channel. We are also purchasing items in bulk from Dollar Tree to put into those toiletry bags. Thanks for subscribing
That monitor you should take the screen apart there's a strip gold in it monitors and TVs the new TVs and computer monitors just like all the electronic stuff there is gold in them and if you can't see the gold on it but don't have a lot on it is recycle that too because it called copper Barrett
I am too but maybe they just want to conceal their identity for safety reasons. I stopped questioning that because I really don’t care anymore I just love their videos!
No problem at all you should subscribe to our voiceless channel. We made that for our viewers who just want to listen to the dumpster dive sounds. Some viewers even send us messages that they fall asleep to it. ruclips.net/channel/UC6GwevJlhCrDwZZv8GaA1sA
Sometimes it doesn't show very well in the videos but the bags are sometimes dirty. Sometimes there is something that has spilled on them or there may be something underneath that we don't want to get all over. If we take the whole bags like we usually do with the Ross bags it's because there is nothing messy in the dumpsters. If we take stuff out of the bags then there is usually something messy somewhere.
I love how your husband aren't picky, he takes everything useful and to me that is what dumpster diving is about, saving as much as he can. Happy dumpster diving! From South Africa

What kind of stores? Not big markets I would guess, ours have cams and real harsh employees, but idk.
Nice!! I don’t find food 😞…but I’m new at diving, so maybe I will soon cause groceries are so expensive!♥️
Another great score and many shared blessings.🙏❤️

Wow that's alot of walnuts, you can freeze the walnuts so they don't go rancid if they're close to the use by date.
You should never feel bad about selling anything or keeping anything. You use your time and money for gas doing this.
I left the moment about the wa x melts. You could make packaging with the balloons and give them as gifts to family, friends teachers ect
We love you, Keep safe always, god bless and guide you always.watching from davao city Philippines
I just started diving for food. Within the last few days I have found a lot of fruits and veggies. I just hope I can start finding shelf stable food to donate.
That's great. We have had really good luck at Dollar Stores. They sell a lot of shelf stable food.
@@voltdivin thank you! I’ll start looking at those too.

I've seen people make things like wallets ,purses and shopping bags out of candy wrappers, maybe that can be done with the balloons too.
I can see that! Twist em, weave em, etc.
Love your video's, great walnut find (goldmine), they are so expensive. Always wishing the best for you and your family.
Thank you
Great finds for reselling and donating🙂

That notice on the stop sign wasn't meant if it was in the dumpster, it was if it was in place on the street/road. You could have taken it.

If you have an Aldi they usually have a lot of food
With the balloons you can make a outfit like a jacket just a suggestion
Check to see if any of the art class at schools or colleges can use the balloons for projects.
Good for you...

Yes they can be reused and repurposed. Like a picture.
