Kids back then used to love these animatronics. Now days they are no longer used in Chuck E. Cheese. Showbiz in my opinion was way better. Now that CEC is going bankrupt, I would love to see showbiz make a return
I know what you mean. I remember how thrilling the animatronics were to me in those days. My young child doesn't get that excited for the single animatronic Chuck E. Cheese mouse at our local CEC nowadays. Regardless, Chuck E. Cheese still brings joy, and it will be sad if they end up closing.
Agreed! I grew up with the Chuck E. band when I was little unfortunately, (The Rockafire was already long gone and replaced by them sadly in the early 2000's) but I was TERRIFIED to even go near them back then. That was until I discovered the Rockafire a few years ago and realized how so much better they were than them. (See my icon? Yeah, Mitzi's my favorite member of the Rockafire. XD) Unlike Chuck E. and the gang, they aren't SO DARN UGLY or scary looking to look at, they are MUCH better built and have WAY BETTER designs to them, aren't cheap and have WAY BETTER fluider realistic movements (UNLIKE Chuck E. and the gang where all they ever do is jerk around cheaply staring at each other all day barely moving having only two cheap stiff moments making irritating loud clicking noises,) and expressions that give them personalities, the voices for them, the scripts, the songs, EVERYTHING about them was just amazing and so much BETTER than Chuck E. and the gang, and it's very sad how these guys with beautiful, fluid movements and expressions got taken out only to be replaced by those SAD EXCUSES of CHEAP and HIDEOUS UGLY RIP-OFFS/KNOCK-OFFS of themselves known as so called "Chuck E. and the gang/Much's Make Believe Band". The Rockafire will ALWAYS be so much better than they'll EVER be. But you know, now that they've gone bankrupt and the characters of Chuck E. and the gang have been taken out, here's hoping that Aaron (Their creator) and the Rockafire will soon make a comeback! (I heard rumors that he's planning on opening restaurants with the Rockafire again! (However, probably not anytime soon unfortunately because of the awful Covid-19 situation, but HOPEFULLY down the road when this nightmare virus is over!)
I think part of the loss of interest is the emphasis placed on the show. If you compare this to what’s done now, there’s a stark contrast. Here we have very convincing characters, talking on stage and seeming to have fun. The showroom is dim, which makes the stage light up all the more and be seen. Nowadays, the characters are very static (talking wise and physically due to disrepair), the showroom is bright, and the stage rarely plays any songs. It’s no wonder kids don’t like the stages anymore. It’s really sad to see the decline, honestly.
This is awesome. It's really nice to see both the stage shows, and the playroom. I'd forgotten all about the 1-seat ferris wheel, but the Showbiz in Miamisburg, Ohio definitely had one. That just might be a FrogBall game, right across from the skeeball lanes. It's probably good that there wasn't footage of ticket exchange time, because seeing all the different Rockafire toys again might've broken my heart XD Thank you so much, for this video.
❤ This one rang alot memory Bells! Thanks for putting this up. The kids jumping in front of the stage, we did the same thing when I was growing up during Showbiz. I also peeked under the curtains after the shows, then running away as if I was going to get in trouble for it. Very fun days.
I just noticed Mitzi’s jaw is a little bit open when it closes probably something to do with the mask in the wrong position but it’s not really anything severe this is still a great rock afire
That would be Billy Bob's Wonderland, though there's only one location. My understanding is that it's the last remaining location out of a few that opted to separate from the Showbiz Pizza Time franchise rather than rebrand to CEC once corporate started the unification initiative. Since SPT never actually owned the characters and Creative Engineering had parted ways with them (thus necessitating said rebrand), Creative began to work with Wonderland, making this a quasi-official successor.
2021: Security job at chuck e cheese. Boss: Yeah, we hired you to keep an eye on those animatronics, They're pretty old, Used to be showbiz pizza place animatronics. They haven't been taken care of. Kids still liked them up until the Game of 14. After that kids were scared of them.
Sad how ShowBiz Pizza Place became Chuck E. Cheese and the animatronic conditions in some restaurant locations deteriorate or even removed to a dance floor
Does anyone have pictures or videos of the SPPs that were in Augusta, Columbus, and Savannah? All three are CECs now, and home to the last three remaining MMBBs in Georgia. Columbus is home to one of only three Chuck E.’s Make Believe Bands (the other two are in Whitehall, PA and Springfield, IL).
Showbiz Pizza Place seemed like lots of fun.
Just like Chuck E. Cheese!
Just like Chuck E Cheese but not bombed out ghetto hepatitis centers
There's no business like ShowBusiness
oh my god duke playing drum really violently that is amazing
lol
This is PERFECT footage of Showbiz Pizza showing off EVERYTHING
I'm glad you like!!

I don’t think SPP will return, seeing as how Aaron Fechter has posted controversial stuff to his RUclips channel.

The only animatronic restaurants I like are the restaurants that have the rock-afire explosion thank you Chuck-E-Cheese for horrible animatronics
Nice! love me some old showbiz video's
Awesome, I am so glad that enjoyed it!

Really cool video, I would of been going here at the same period in Detroit area! Omg memories 😂 Roadblasters ftw
Those were the good old animatronic days, I hope there is a fan-made remake of the restaurant and the rock-afire explosion stage

I’m was originally near Atlanta GA when I was born in 1985 in Athens then I moved to Canada
By 1988 they were serving beer…….. the ballroom got a lot more crowded with adults lol……..they just gave us quarters and said have fun……..
was this the one on cumberland blvd?
Which Atlanta store was this?
My mother-in-law thinks it was the Green Hills location, but she said she is not 100% positive
Did that one become a CEC?
@@emmarose4234 no clue, my family has moved out of the area
Emma Rose If Green Hills is correct, this store closed in the 80s. The other 2 Atlanta stores are still open as CEC’s
@@c.h.seeaitch6186 I think Marietta which closed 2015.
