You asked why Walter wasn't the main character in this... well the actor who plays him (Bill Pullman) is the leading man in 'While you were sleeping' with Sandra Bullock. A fun Rom Com from 1995 :)

12:29, and just in case you didnt know, that's director Rob Reiner, who was married to Penny Marshall who directed A League Of Their Own, and Big, both with Tom Hanks. Reiner went on to direct Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, Misery and also directed When Harry Met Sally. He was also in All In The Family playing Archie Bunker's son in law.

"Look, Annie... I love you. But let's leave that out of this. I don't want to be someone that you're settling for. I don't want to be someone that anyone settles for. Marriage is hard enough without bringing such low expectations into it, isn't it?"
Fun Fact: The scene between Tom Hanks and Victor Garber crying over the movie The Dirty Dozen (1967) was completely improvised during the take.
Cameo Fact: When Meg Ryan's character is in the kitchen in the middle of the night listening to the 'best of' radio callers, the caller 'Disappointed In Denver' is voiced by Director Nora Ephron.

You should watch While You Were Sleeping. It has Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman (who plays Walter in this).

Also you should check out A League of Their Own with Geena Davis and Tom Hanks. It’s not a romantic comedy, but it is a comedy. Bill Pullman has a small but important role.

I love Walter! I wish they'd do a follow-up movie about Walter. You need to watch while you were sleeping with Bill Pullman (Walter) and Sandra Bullock.

From my college days, I knew twin women who were, literally, carbon copies, physically AND psychologically. It was amazing. Betty told tales of their in-utero days, which sounds eerily impossible. When speaking with her sister, Beth, the same growing-up stories were told, using vocabulary that was strikingly similar. Their voices were very difficult to tell apart when in the same room. When Beth died in her 30s, Betty crashed. Isolated herself, cried, didn't reach out to old friends; eventually crawled out of her self-imposed exile but was a shadow of her former self. Quit her job, got another one way outside her college degree area, then moved back to her and Beth's hometown. Have not heard from her in over 30 years. Mailed her a "light" letter, nothing probing or insensitive, but never heard a word, nor was the envelope returned, so I assume the letter was received. This movie reminded me of Betty and Beth. Beth physically died, Betty spiritually died. But I'll remember them both for as long as I can so they truly won't be gone.

The Empire State Building has 102 or 108 floors, can't remember. The 86th floor is the one with the area to walk outside on. Years before this movie the cement wall was open. Too many suicides and they put up that gated see through fence around it

In case you didn't catch the mistaken identity, when Annie sees Sam and Jonah hugging longtime friend Suzy at the beach, she thinks it's Victoria, the woman from the photo that the detective took earlier at the restaurant. They both had short brown curly hair. So at that point Annie thinks it is less likely that she can meet Sam, not knowing that Suzy is married and that Sam is not deeply interested in Victoria.

I was going to mention the movie where Bill Pullman gets his rightful place as "the right guy" but someone beat me to it.. So I'd rather recommend him in "Zero Effect" a personal favorite of mine about the world's greatest defective detective. Pullman is fantastic in the lead, Daryl Zero. Criminally underrated film.

The movie they keep referring to is An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. It and Love Story are my favorite romance movies and I suggest you watch them for Valentines Day. I'm going to watch Love Story today. It's been years since I saw it. Alli McGraw and Ryan O'Neal are so good in it. Ryan O'Neal recently died and I want ti watch one of my favorite films with him. I will have the kleenex on stand-by.

It's not an Ocean but Lake Union which has a canal & locks that go into Puget Sound which is salt water .
The house sits on the lake yes floating on water tied to some piling . Known as a houseboat here with power , water pipe and sewer line . Also on Lake Union you can rent a HOT TUB BOAT and putter around sitting in a boat that is a hot tub.

I can certainly identify w/ the loss situation. My (late) wife and I caught this during the theatrical release. A month later we both visited Seattle (my Mrs' formal haunt) and ventured to the Space Needle and also hoofed it down the same walkway depicted on which Tom Hanks and Rob Reiner descended Pine St heading towards the Pike Place Market. Another acquaintance recently lost his wife after thirty-plus yrs together; everyone's eventually wanting to hop aboard the bandwagon.

A few videos back I mentioned to you that my wife and I will soon be celebrating our 37th anniversary. What I didn't mention is that for the past 20+ years we have been working our construction business together; side by side, day in and day out. You asked in this review how people so devoted to each other in their relationship deal with the loss of one of them? That, is the one thing I wish not to know first hand. I will wait patiently and pray that God calls me home first; and that he will give her the strength and courage to keep it together.

I always felt that Walter was the better guy, allergies and all. I even think Pullman is far better looking than Hanks, and maintain that feeling today. This movie would have been perfect if Walter ended up with a least a potential new love interest at the end of the movie.

The undisputed Queen of Chick Flicks. It's everything a good Chick Flick should be and endlessly watchable, even for me, as a guy. Meg Ryan owned these kinds of movies in the late 80s and well into the 90s. You've Got Mail is another good one with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan - with Jean Stapleton AKA Edith Bunker as her mentor. I like that this movie didn't make Walter out to be a villain. He still comes off like a great guy. It just didn't work out. I am a Walter. The kind of guy who always ends up being the last guy she goes out with before she finds "the one." I'm used to the "I feel different" and "It's nothing you did" lines. I almost wish I was just a jerk. It would make a lot more sense.

Kat, I ALWAYS wear heels. I started at a young age wearing 4 inch heels around the house while taking care of dad and 4 brothers and the house after my Mom got sick and then died. After mastering the 4 inch I kept getting higher all the way up to my 7 inch Ballet heels. I can even run in some heels, though not the Ballet. But I can stand and walk in the Ballet for hours. . Although I have to admit I am very athletic but still a girly girl. Sarah Jessica Parker can also run well in heels. 👗👠👠💓

@@katreacts6843 Thank you for the sentiment. I did have the benefit of learning early from mom and grandma how to do everything girls and women are expected to do so I was able to step in when mom got sick so early in my life. I started in the lead female role at 9 and I loved it so much I never let my brothers or dad do ANY cooking or cleaning from then on. Then when all 4 brothers were out of the house I got my own and I usually have dad over as much as possible. And I am always Hostess for family dinners and parties. I also love having all the men and boys over to watch all the sports while I play waitress and chef so they can stay in front of the Television. 👱‍♀️👗👠👠😊💓

Unfortunately, I went through losing my wife a few years ago. The last thing I wanted was people interfering in my life and trying to set me up with someone else. My daughter and I just wanted people to stay out of our business. When I met my late wife, I knew instantly that she was the one for me. When you find the right person you know it.

Read what Paul the apostle says about energy, Kat Reacts. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven." 1 Corinthians 15:41-47. The second man from heaven is Jesus Christ. He died for the sins of the world to give those who BELIEVE eternal life. John 3:16-17. Also 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
