I am glad I did watch this, as you did an amazing job with this case. That said, your creepy letter-reading voice will give me nightmares, so thanks for that! I read The Ultimate Evil by Maury Terry in the 90's 3 or 4 times...Hahaha. Great archival footage also that I hadn't seen before. So yeah, you guys really killed it here. Super impressed.

I lived in Queens during that time what they fail to mention is, there was a blackout, the whole city went dark that's when it got real scary !!!! Any one that lived in NYC at the blackout in 1977 were in fear having this nut running round loose in the dark !!

Excellent job on this documentary. One thing, however… John Carr’s middle name wasn’t Wheat. It was Charles. Berkowitz thought his middle name was Wheat because that’s how John Carr’s name was listed in the phone book. He shared a listing with his sister Wheat.
At this point, Im left wandering why witness descriptions, and suspect drawings are even still a thing. I watch true crime constantly. I've watched documentaries of basically every ceriel killer ever, and many many other crimes for years, but I've yet to see a suspect drawing that looks like the actual perpetrator, and most times its not even a little close, and they never help catch anyone. This also makes me seriously question police lineups, and allowing victims to look at mugshots. People obviously have horrible memories when it comes to remembering a perpetrators looks and features, especially of a complete stranger they only saw briefly. A perfect example is the Zodiac drawing that we see on all these documentaries. Ill bet everything I own, that the real suspect of the Zodiac killings looks nothing like that drawing. Heck, it honestly makes you question witness statements and memories of anything involving crimes, which is very unfortunate. I mean, did you see these Son Of Sam drawings? Six or seven different witnesses drawings, each one looked like a completely different person, yet not one actually resembles David Burkowits. This is just scary and worrisome to me.
That's because there were 3 other shooters. In Maury Terry's book the Ultimate Evil you'll see 2 of Berkowitzes acquaintances the Carr brothers are dead ringers for two of the sketches. And another shooter was actually a female with a wig
The Ted Bundy drawings were stunningly accurate. Anne Rule , the crime writer who also worked with Bundy - at a suicide hotline of all things - said when she saw the artist drawing she immediately thought it looked like Ted. And the sketch made in Florida by a student who caught a few seconds of him leaving the dorm where he had murdered the coeds, again - great rendering - of Bundy's profile.
