Am I the only one who thinks this show is like a breath of fresh air? It's so different from other cake shows on youtube. It doesn't feel "forced" his humor is great and I love his sarcastic, slightly insulting jokes (like the peanut allergy one lmao) I also love that he doesn't use fondant on ALL of his cakes... it's so nice to see him take his time to smooth out the frosting instead of take the lazy way and use fondant.
For having tried her cake recipe, I can tell you it's not dry at all ! What I liked is that the cake was not too sweet nor too fatty. Also the simple syrup she puts in every cake she does really help make it moist ! :)
Zahra Siddiqui, I am surprised I don't see more people using marzipan instead of gum paste or fondant. I want to make my wedding cake someday, and use marzipan.

I like Yolanda she's great, but sometimes she jokes a lot. Too much for my liking. What I like about Joshua is that he's got the perfect balance of funny, entertaining as well as teaching us how to make the cakes. Besides, I feel like Yolanda's cakes are impossible for me or most of us to make, while Joshua does cakes that are more realistic to recreate. I really enjoy his videos!
Idk... She includes links and descriptions to all kinds of things, and does more verbal explanations for how and why she does certain things. Her cakes also seem more party-friendly, gender neutral that everyone could enjoy. His cakes tend more towards weddings.

You should do an episode about carving cake into shapes/objects. For example a cake that is a tea cup or a a snowman or something. All of the cakes you have done have been conventional cake shapes. Shake it up!
I find it's less common to see someone work with gum paste than fondant on RUclips. Do you have a preference? Also have you done candied geodes. I'm attempting to make candied geodes for a wedding cake and thought maybe gun paste would work better since I can make the rock formations in advance before pouring the candy mixture inside.

Hi, may I know what is the purpose of that straws? At first I thought it connects one cake to another (so like you left a little tip of the straws to be 'punctured' later on the other cake's bottom side). But I see those straws are completely drowned inside the cake. So I wonder why is it. Thankyou very much ❤

American and Australian Coeliac standards are different. Here in Australia we are not able to eat Wheat, Barley, Rye as well as oats. But in America you can eat oats. Would love to have/try a Gluten free Coeliac Australia approved recipe!! How can I get navy blue fondant? I can't find it anywhere and when I dye my white fondant it never comes out navy. I also tried dying my royal blue fondant with some more blue to darken it up and it still doesn't come out to navy...any suggestions? Would appreciate it. Thank u :)
