    Your videos are just as relaxing to watch as Bob Ross painting a beautiful canvas. Also, I like how in most of your videos you ASK people to like and subscribe instead of demanding people do it. Keep up the great work! Love your videos.

    Great looking steak. Love bourbon chicken but I bet bourbon steak is better. Gonna try it for sure. Great to see your wife get in there hope to see more of her. Good job

    The buttery cast iron skillet commanded me to smash the like button.
    HULK SMASH!
    Man, what I would do to that steak would be considered a crime against humanity!
    Everything you make looks awesome and has inspired me to grill and smoke more and more!

    OK, Ry, your recipes are continuing to hit a chord with my palate. I have sub'd bourbon in other dishes, so this is a must try. I would use Wild Turkey (favorite brand) so may need to change the name of the dish to Wild Diane Steak. Thanks again. Also, looking forward to your wife's side dishes in the future... hint, hint.

    Oh my. That looks freaking amazing. I'm not a fan of whiskey in the slightest so I'm going to use some spiced rum when I make this.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Another outstanding video! Just so happens that I have a whole slab of NY strip (about 12 lbs ) that I am doing a 90 day wet age on. It will be ready next weekend. I will certainly make some of your sauce for the first steaks we grill. Thanks for yet another culinary inspiration. Keep up the good work.

    • @CookingWithRy
      @CookingWithRy  6 лет назад

      Holy moly! That 90 day age is gonna give you some killer beef :)

    • @BrandonSmith-sq9wg
      @BrandonSmith-sq9wg 6 лет назад

      That's the plan. This will be my second slab this year. I had some hesitation on the first one. Letting a 130 dollar slab of beef just sit in the fridge for 3 months just aint right! In the end, you could just about cut it with fork. It was so tender that I barly had to chew. Now add your sauce to it and BAM! Thanks again for your great videos.

    • @progers5019
      @progers5019 6 лет назад +1

      To tell you the truth, I cannot believe Janet is doing this. A year and a half ago when I began the PIF channel, she would not have done what she is doing for $10,000. It's like stepping in the ankle deep cold water in the pool. The more you stand in it and watch others in the deep end having fun, you begin stepping forward just a little. Before you even realize it, you're in the pool. Same here. I'm shocked about it, and she is doing very good with it. Give it some time and it begins with taste test, and working the camera some. LOL

    Hi , from Manitoba , have been watching your videos for some time even commented on your live stream a couple of times . Your videos are very informative and extremely well done . This steak and sauce look so delicious I am compelled to make this myself . The only difference in my version is instead of Jack I will be using Crown Royal Northern Harvest for a Canadian twist and I am also changing the name to Ry steak or steak Ry . By the way if you are interested this crown royal ( which won world best whisky in 2016 and best Canada whisky in 2017 and 2018 , and is distilled in Gimli ,Manitoba a town just north of where I live , sorry for the lengthy message but just couldn’t restrain myself , thanks again .

    Now you're speaking my language. Me and Jack go way back and I've never been a fan of steak diane due to the cognac and the tenderloin, but you really sparked an interest now with a strip and some Tennessee whiskey.Definitely gonna try that sometime in the near future. Cheers till the next one bud.

    Looks tasty. I can't have the Dijon as I am allergic to the horse reddish that is in it. Any reasonable substitute you can think of to give a similar taste?

    • @CookingWithRy
      @CookingWithRy  6 лет назад

      I think you could leave it out entirely and maybe cut the beef stock back by a tablespoon to compensate for the thickening effect the mustard can have :)
