#4 Another Straight Key QSO

Martin uses a sideswiper [Cootie] key which he has made from Meccano! You can see it in action here • One Valve QRP Transmit... Sideswipers are very difficult to learn but Martins' fist sounds like that of a concert pianist. It’s always a pleasure to share a QSO with him and he’s very tolerant of my mistakes here as I struggle with my much loved WWII J-38 US Army Training Key. Zeb has developed this program which helps train us to write down only the important details contained in a message. Zeb tells me that it will run in any browser so we don’t even need to download anything. Simply brilliant! G4KDXlive - Thanks for your comment. I don't get on air very often so my CW is quite slow but I really enjoy the old straight keys. You may hear a few of us operating at low speeds during the G-QRP Club Valve Weekend events in April and November each year. Just listen for the chirpy signals ! 73, Graham de G4VUX
