Use the alternative template. The conversion error is normal, but the MooV file error should be fixed if you use the other template (you might need QuickTime).
@Ballyweg Yes I did, and have tried the defaults how u have it, also made changes in Blender where you can click on sound icon, still no sound. It does the same with the DreamworksMvA also. I get no sound. The only way is to extract the sound and use other programs to add it later which adds more steps. The fix I saw for Disney is you having a MAC version which I use. If that's the case, then I guess MAC will need one also for DreamworksMvA. Thanks though for all you've done.
That would be a great idea to use this for my "4:00 Game" episodes on video games based off of Disney, and for my custom intro, it will say "Musicradio77 Television Network Presents" for the opening and "Musicradio77 Television Network" for the closing. Will have more to come.
@MrDeroche Well I redid the entire intro by masking out the Disney letters and implementing different small improvements. Also, I did the title in Blender instead of Photoshop. Then the entire intro is CS3 compatible, which some were asking for and the intro is more smooth without lags, because of a source file error I corrected.
not sure where the alternative MP4 file is for mac but when i go to replace footage it says disney.avi and then when i press open it does not let me in after effects !
You need to follow the "increase the Profile and Level". You can do that in the Output MOdule settings by clicking on the link and changing the settings.
I am unable to make the intro. I used Adobe After Effects CS3 but ig its outdated cause it nearly caused my PC to crash. Is it possible for you to post a blank Disney intro for the Beauty and the Beast (2017) movie?
I followed everything like you said but when I have the finishing product the video is very slow it stops too many times and the name I put in Blender does not come up the Walt Disney logo comes up
I switched to AE CS4, Which took care of the audio problem, but CS4 does not have the H264 output and the quicktime and windows media format renders all have video lag... when will the problems stop. is it because my laptop is NOT 64 Bit?
@Ballyweg if you could help me with this problem it would be much appriciated, everytime i eddit the font in blender and then press the animation button it says blender has stopped working? Please help me with this it is really annoying. Oh and i am running on windows 64 bit.
I have a problem. when i get to after effects it says one missing file and i did what you said to replace it but the only file i can replace it with is the actual disney video. I'm on mac so i don't know if that affects it ? should i do it on windows ?
This is great, but I want to know what Disney used to actually build that intro. Was that 3ds Max or Maya....I wonder if anyone has tried to recreate that yet
Hey,how come when I put this in mp3,and on windows movie maker,it doesnt let it go on it.It says that the file does not support them. What does this mean?
When i click on after effects is says this project must be converted from version 9.0.3(windows) & will open as an untitled project. It then says that there is an error 'Disney.avi' cannont be imported this MooV file is damaged or unsupported. What do i need to do. Many thanks
Great Tutorial and many thanks for putting this together. One question for you....Is there a way to get the final project to run in 30 fps or 60 fps instead of 24 fps. I am putting this together with footage that was filmed at 60fps and would like to use that as the final fps, so the final render of the Disney intro tends to skip a beat here and there. Thanks.
Hi @ballyweg I followed your instructions but cannot get the audio to play. I'm using CS5.5 and I chose the Disney.aep ~ I did click the "audio output" box. Any thoughts or ideas to render this properly? Thank You
hi Ballyweg, been trying to do this but eventually when I open the .blend file on the blender program, ive been receiving a message saying that "You have opened a 250 file, key information will get lost, like animation data. Continue", is this normal or there's sumthing wrong on my blender program? Please advise.
Hey there. I'm trying to make the Disney logo but it has a major problem. I did have the K letter issue which i fixed. But i'm opening the AE (CS4) and it says that Quick Time is missing. I installed it. (I installed Quick Time 7). But when i re-open the AE file, the program crashes and it won't open the file. Any help? I also tried it at the Pixar file, but i can't see the H.264 and many other formats...
@MrOwestyo Instead of H.264, you can use Video for Windows, and then DivX codec. Whatch my tutorials: "FIX: Missing files / Rainbow test screen" and "TUTORIAL: Rendering Encoding Compressing Formats"
Hmmmm. Well i did download Quicktime from the Apple website, so it should be 7.6 (at the website it only says 7 so i don't know if it's right). And yes, i have the full version. But now it crashes at Dreamworks KFP too...
Changing it to a larger font and then scaling it down worked. Thank you.
Ballyweg is my hero... Congratulations!
Do You Think You Should Do One Of These For Disney's 100th Anniversary?
For the 20th century fox, you can render in blender as pngs or jpegs and then compose them in After Effects.
Use the alternative template. The conversion error is normal, but the MooV file error should be fixed if you use the other template (you might need QuickTime).
Hello, I am somewhat new to this, when I go to after effects, the Disney title is seen with a gray box, it is not transparent.
Obrigado amigo, você é um amigo! 🙌
Try installing QuickTime. You can always render in another format or lossless and then convert afterwards, using for example XMedia Recode.
Hi, May I ask what r the effect you use for the shine effect for the words.
Because when I render it out is grey color
How can you errase the yellow mask inside
@Ballyweg Yes I did, and have tried the defaults how u have it, also made changes in Blender where you can click on sound icon, still no sound. It does the same with the DreamworksMvA also. I get no sound. The only way is to extract the sound and use other programs to add it later which adds more steps. The fix I saw for Disney is you having a MAC version which I use. If that's the case, then I guess MAC will need one also for DreamworksMvA. Thanks though for all you've done.
No, that can happen from time to time. To fix that, just change the size of the letters using the font size option in the fonts tab.
Kinda curious on how did you removed the "Walt Disney Pictures" text with "Adobe After Effects"?
how do you adjust the font size?
@DML2451 Well it wasn't the resolution. The problems were mainly caused by bad masking. And Blender is better for doing titles than Photoshop.
Just adjust the size by selecting the productions layer and pressing the s-key.
That would be a great idea to use this for my "4:00 Game" episodes on video games based off of Disney, and for my custom intro, it will say "Musicradio77 Television Network Presents" for the opening and "Musicradio77 Television Network" for the closing. Will have more to come.
Its here!My Disney Intro!
@biggsrupp It's embedded inside the source video file. Just tick audio output when rendering.
@thedancerschoice You can always add the sound afterwards. You sure you ticked Audio Output?
@MrDeroche Well I redid the entire intro by masking out the Disney letters and implementing different small improvements. Also, I did the title in Blender instead of Photoshop. Then the entire intro is CS3 compatible, which some were asking for and the intro is more smooth without lags, because of a source file error I corrected.
;)
@JJay13Productionz You've tried both templates, also the one with avi?
Try reducing the font size in the Fonts Settings Tab and then resize the letters with the scale tool (S key).
Merci beaucoup, non seulement j'ai beaucoup appris et tu mas donner l'envie de recommencer à faire des vidéos, MERCIIIIIII :-)
@Totallytiger08 What file are you trying to open?
not sure where the alternative MP4 file is for mac but when i go to replace footage it says disney.avi and then when i press open it does not let me in after effects !
Yes. I'm working on it. Use ballyweg.co.cc in the meantime.
Nice job, hi from Bolivia "Santa Cruz" Where we are not Collas" like EVO.
Do you have the full version of After Effects? Try with QuickTime 7.6.
You are awsome! Thanks for doing this. What will be your next one ? A good challenge would be the Marvel intro or the epic Starwars one.
@JeanDiopita Yes, that's fine.
I did my Pixar intro. :)
@Totallytiger08 In what program. the file.aep is for After Effects and file.blend is for blender.
Is it possible to do this without aftyer effects because i cant find a way to download this without turrent
thank you man...i am your biggest fan
I followed everything like you said but when I have the finishing product the video is very slow it stops too many times and the name I put in Blender does not come up the Walt Disney logo comes up
Are you sure you followed every step?
ok thank you very much appreciate what you do for others. your the best cheers !
CS4 should do fine. If you don't have H.264, use AVI/DivX (set DivX in the Video settings).
You need to set the level higher. In the video codec settings, you can find a setting for level. Set it to 5.1.
I have a problem. when i get to after effects it says one missing file and i did what you said to replace it but the only file i can replace it with is the actual disney video. I'm on mac so i don't know if that affects it ? should i do it on windows ?
Have you tried to move the time indicator?
You can change the font size in the font's tab, and then resize it again using the scaling tools ("S" key).
Thanks this looks really good!
You can use any format you want but H.264 tends to work best.
Nice tutorial - might you know how to change the castle flag?
No, sorry.
Thanks,almost done.
Which file does it say is missing? Have you tried the alternative MP4 template for Mac?
@audiopimp 1. Newest Blender version? 2. Check "Load UI" in file, open menu. 3. Send screenshot as PM.
Will it still work even if you don't have After Effects?
Hi! I try this tutorial but when I open AE the png have the grey background how can I fix it? :)
Excuse me, there will be a possibility for the tutorial Disney 100 years of wonder template intro, right?
@MrOwestyo Which file does it not recognize (it's in italic in the Project tab on the left)?
@MrFelix1812 Go into the Fonts tab and change the font size to make it smaller.
@MrOwestyo This problem can arise if you forget to unzip. You sure you unzipped?
What do you mean? The CS3 version works with After Effects CS3+.
Have you tried the alternative template (requires QuickTime).
This is great, but I want to know what Disney used to actually build that intro. Was that 3ds Max or Maya....I wonder if anyone has tried to recreate that yet
There should be a similar option. Have you installed QuickTIme?
Did you check "Audio Output" before rendering?
Hey,how come when I put this in mp3,and on windows movie maker,it doesnt let it go on it.It says that the file does not support them. What does this mean?
Just curious, what did you update with this video, compared to your last Disney intro tutorial?
When i click on after effects is says this project must be converted from version 9.0.3(windows) & will open as an untitled project. It then says that there is an error 'Disney.avi' cannont be imported this MooV file is damaged or unsupported. What do i need to do. Many thanks
Glad i found something like, I will need it for a project this is quite helpfull. Thank You!!! :)
@Quentello The video should already be in highest quality 1080p. If you leave the render settings at default, you should get a nice Full HD intro.
Thanks.
Do The Dan Clark Company Or Bnd
It works!! Thank you very much!! It's an excelent tutorial , the easiest I've ever seen! Thanks!!!
+Karina Figueroa Yay! That's wonderful to hear. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Can you edit Rovio Animation The Angry Birds Movie
Hi @ballyweg I followed your instructions but cannot get the audio to play. I'm using CS5.5 and I chose the Disney.aep ~ I did click the "audio output" box. Any thoughts or ideas to render this properly? Thank You
@OnPlanet12 Export from where to where?
ive followed your steps excatly but when i open disney.aep folder it doesnt show the disney intro at all.
Why is the audio missing when I render it? the audio should be linked automatically with the avi. file right?
Did you click render in blender?
hi Ballyweg, been trying to do this but eventually when I open the .blend file on the blender program, ive been receiving a message saying that "You have opened a 250 file, key information will get lost, like animation data. Continue", is this normal or there's sumthing wrong on my blender program? Please advise.
how do u mask stuff im tryin to do it for blender and im not ableto properly edit out the original wording
See a tutorial on masking here: ruclips.net/video/DJ-8hpYIY5o/видео.html
thanks man but will it work with blender?
That's strange. You can always add the sound afterwards (in any other program). Try making a RAM Preview to check if you have sound then.
I'm not sure what you mean. WLMM should support MP3.
Any suggestion where I can download After Effects CS3/4/5/6 32 bit :' (
oh shit!! I really like this tutorial! :) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS :)
@Ballyweg me to where can you get the sound?
My blender is 2.76 the new version, is it okay if use this version?
Hey Ballyweg!!!
Can you do a tutorial on how you cut out the walt Disney and inserted our own? Thankss!!!
I have made a very basic tutorial here: TUTORIAL: Intro Editing 101 / Bad Robot Intro HD
and I plan on expanding that some time.
Howd u make the disney one? cause it doesnt look like your adding a solid! Or are you?
coolkidsahib The same principle, just with a moving background instead of a solid.
Ohh!!! Thanks!!!
In the Enchanted version, the screen goes dark after the castle scene instead of moving forward like in the video. How do I fix this?
Any help? I also tried it at the Pixar file, but i can't see the H.264 and many other formats...
you can also other intros thus making?
Hi Ballyweg it's me again lol I did everything the same as youu but the Walt Disney is showing up and my logo is nowhere to be found help
@MrOwestyo Instead of H.264, you can use Video for Windows, and then DivX codec. Whatch my tutorials: "FIX: Missing files / Rainbow test screen" and "TUTORIAL: Rendering Encoding Compressing Formats"
Try the "Alternative CS4+ template for Mac users".
Que sitios, how do i add the text above the Productions Line
@stelianos007 It should still work, even if you get that error.
Hmmmm. Well i did download Quicktime from the Apple website, so it should be 7.6 (at the website it only says 7 so i don't know if it's right). And yes, i have the full version. But now it crashes at Dreamworks KFP too...
where the castle should be it has the rainbow colored bars like when tv stations go off air..
Is this how you removed the word Disney from the video?
Did you use the correct settings? Try using VLC Media Player.
Yeah, I will sometime!
@MineSpotNL Any error message? Remembered to unzip?
How to remove the Gray background behind the text on Blender animation file?
