Hi, Jon! I just happened to randomly stumble upon your channel while cruising on RUclips :D Although I'm not super into software engineering, you happened to pop up on my recommendation and I'm happy it did! Love your positivity and the quality of your videos! Btw, I'm from Korea! Keep up the good work friend :)
Hi Jon My question is - what all the difficulties did you face when you started coding , what feeling comes to you when your friend who sits beside you codes faster, codes perfectly What would you do in that situation and how will you improve your coding skills MAKE A VIDEO ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE CODING SKILLS , WHAT INSIGHTS SHOULD YOU SEE IN A QUESTION BEFORE YOU START CODING
Learning how to code was difficult. It took me a while to get a grasp on the concepts and fundamentals of programming. I definitely felt stressed because my classmates in college already had some experience with coding so I felt behind from the start. Comparing myself to others was not helpful, it just made me feel worse. What did help was focusing on things in my control: I went to my professors office hours when I needed additional help. I went to studying sessions to learn from my peers and to help others when I could. And I worked on building things I was interested in to further grow my skills and experience.
Thanks Stoni! I got it online from Target but it doesn't look like they sell it anymore 😔. It's called "SpaceMaster CO2219-LGTWD Transforming Foldable Coffee & Dining Table, Light Wood"
It isn't normal to remove DSD support for music files on Android. LLAMA FRHD suggested: just root your phone.. But I think isn't right way to enable DSD music. What do you think?
Any advice on what/how to learn fast as a new grad joining a SWE team? I just started a new role a few months ago and feel like the huge codebases and coding concepts fly over my head. Could you share what you did to improve your productivity and coding when you joined Google?
When I joined Google, I had a lot of support to help me get ramped up. I had a mentor on the team who would walk me through the code and explain how things work. I also read a lot of code reviews to see how people solved bugs/features in the codebase. I would recommend you to ask a lot of questions, especially if you find yourself getting stuck!
Nice video kabayan! I'm an aspiring software engineer as well and hope to be somewhere near your level of expertise someday. I'm still learning the basics :) baka pwede magpa turo hehe 😅

Programming languages have pros/cons and so it depends on what you're building or what problems you're solving. Do you know the differences between Python and Java?
You can get better at coding through practice. I cover this in more detail in my latest Q&A video ruclips.net/video/uqGeNpx1-QQ/видео.html Are you currently coding anything?
@@yourfriendintech Gotcha . Ya i graduated from UIUC this year and have been working for about 3 months at a small startup as a data analyst. My interest is more in the software engineering kinda side and I feel like I could be doing more to practice coding. Appreciate your feed back!
Yeah honestly the best way to get better is to practice. You can learn a lot by building a simple app end to end. I recommend starting with something small and then add on complexity later (make it look nicer, make it faster, make it more data efficient, etc.)
