DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT THE PACKAGE GIVEN TO COVID PATIENTS. THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WHO RESIDES IN OUR CITY (TAGUIG).
So last month, I finally got an “AYUDA” or relief package during this pandemic. Just for reference, I live in a condo community and I'm not sure how often we should get these packages. I don’t usually mind not getting my ayuda even though I pay for it through taxes but my auntie and lola needs them so they can have some extra items in their house. As I said in the video, this is the second time that I got an ayuda since last year’s pandemic. The first one was given around the same time I got this package. The distribution of our ayuda varies per city as well as the items inside of it. Some of our neighboring cities get relief packages every month or bi-monthly. They say that the distribution is controlled by our LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT.
There are also some cities so regularly give out SAP or the Social Amelioration Program by the government. I don’t know who is qualified to get SAP or emergency cash because I never got one even though I am a registered voter. Some distributes this in a house to house while some do it in barangay halls/public schools (distirbution center). I haven’t tried going in any of the centers since I don’t know where it is and I don’t know if I’m qualified. However, my family (Mom, Minor Brother, Lola, Auntie, and our Househelper) got their cash assistance just last week. They were given Php 1,000 ($20.87) each when some Barangay officials went house to house in their city.
For this video, please do take note that the dollar conversion is based on our rate this May 6 ($ 1 = Php 47.92)
Just a disclaimer too, I did not make this video to spread any hate to anyone. As you can see, I did not have my usual commentary on the vlog just to keep thing neutral. All the information you saw on the video are based on actual prices and close estimate. The prices might be higher or lower depending on how our LGU acquired the items in our packages. I wasn’t able to try any of the items in the ayuda as well except for the alcohol which I kept as a souvenir (it has my city’s logo hehe). I gave everything directly to my lola and auntie.

971.50 for the whole family. Good for 5 days? Not bad!
