@Ronaldnelson6692 its interesting that you said that. Because one of my friends is a teacher in high-school and they told me Adrian the thing that brought white and black people together is by music and sports that's one of the strongest tools that has changed the world. Even though yes it was civil rights and Martin Luther King Jr and stuff like that. But the strongest music and sports.
@@ronaldnelson6692 yeah they actually hated the term disco. They called their music contemporary r&b and blue eyed soul. And they had hits in the late 60s as part of the British Invasion. The disco label caused a ridiculous, unfair backlash against them by 1980. Way more to their decades long career than the SNF soundtrack
Chuck Berry was just the doggoned best rock 'n roller in the history of music, bar none! Amazing what he could do with a guitar and his voice, plus those wonderful outfits he wore to perform. PS: And I do love those BeeGees, too!!
I was lucky enough to see Chuck Berry play live at Caesars Palace in Vegas and was seated close enough to smell his breath. He sang this song with his daughter. Dude had the entire joint dancing on the tables. It was one of greatest performances I have ever seen an I have seen many greats.
I watched this when it was on TV. The Bee Gees were the host that week (Midnight Special) and Chuck was one of the several people invited to play. I guess they couldn't pass up such an opportunity. To be onstage with Chuck Berry is like having lunch with the almighty himself.
Chuck Berry was set to perform a concert at my high school theater in the early 1980's but it was cancelled because I was the only one who purchased tickets. I was so disappointed.
@@johnsilva9139 Yes it was but remember we are talking circa 1982/83 . Chuck Berry's music back then was classified as "Golden Oldies" and most of my friends were not interested in seeing him. They were either into Classic Rock, Heavy Medal or New Wave music. The Plimsouls perform in the same theater and it was sold out. Just how it was then. I was a rare teenager who was a big fan of 50's/early 60's Rock n Roll but most of my friends were not. They thought I was weird. Even more so when they found out I was hude fan of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
Jamel, please check out some forgotten band that made it’s success in Europe, France specifically but they were from California and Texas…….I’m talking about Cock Robin, songs like “ just around the corner” or “ the promise you made”…..I still don’t understand how during the 80’s people didn’t appreciate them more…… amazing new wave style band……
Sorry typo. Was saying i stayed up on Saturday night and was really best time of my night Chuck berry is my hero, love him, really good song writer. Sorry my key pad is sticking.

Chuck Barry....the greatest
Since my comments aren't being listed I'm done with this channel
How many people can say they had Bee Gees sing backup for them!? Well, Chuck Berry can! Awesome! That audience had quite the treat that night!
You can tell that wasn't the Bee Gees style of music but they had fun. Shows that music is what brings people together.

Actually they always said they loved and were influenced by the music of black artists.
@@Zlata1313 They are more know for disco though not 50s rock. You can tell they had fun.

@@Zlata1313 Unfortunately, they will be remembered for their disco songs whether they like it or not. That's what the Genre is called.

Chuck Berry was the true King of Rock n Roll. Toe tappin feel good music!
I watched the Midnight Special all the time, but this is one I missed! Thank You for sharing this one. It was great!
I was in the studio audience for this taping, when the show ended, Chuck came back on stage and played an additional 30 just for the audience.
@@allanbluzdudeThat's amazing! What an awesome memory to have. I'm feeling a tad jealous.
We went NUT when this show came on TV. My roommate and I. We didn't expect the Bee Gees......yeah that was SPECIAL 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 thanks for sharing.
Thank you Jamel! Never seen this before. Yes, really enjoyed it. Always enjoy Chuck!!
Love, love Chuck Berry and ❤❤
Thanks for finding this, I never saw it before now. Awesome 😅
There is also one with Wilson Pickett with the BeeGees doing “Hey Jude”, you will love this one as well!!
I saw that one. Have you ever heard the Wilson Pickett and Duane Allman (Slide guitar) version of Hey Jude? From around 1969.
Or their Beatles' medley.
Pure Magic 🤩🏴

Once upon a time big time musicians could play and jive live.
Loved all of it from the beginning to the end. Fun and entertaining reaction 🔥🔥🔥
Maurice had a great rock and roll voice!!
Barry could also sing deep with a little growl!
His country voice was good too.!
Barry too, he sang a rock n roll song at the love and hope concert very good!
Awesome........YEAH..❤
I guaranty you that Chuck was one of their heros when they were kids and just starting out!
I always love watching this, I was at this taping ( NBC Burbank Studios 1973).
Great find! This is a rare gem. Chucky B? Gee

Enjoyed this!!!
Chuck Berry was a true master.
So glad to see Jamel back doing music reactions.
The Great Chuck Berry! ❤❤ Incomparable! Mom and Dad his records along with Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis.
That's a good reason I like your channel it makes you boogie and tap your toe Keep up the good work
Can’t believe that wasn’t censored, that’s almost some really dirty lyrics. What an awesome performance, Chuck is such a bad ass
Not as bad as My Ding-a-Ling
Lol.
But it had a double meaning.
Chuck was a very dirty boy. And good for him. He’s a man who liked what he liked. If ya know, ya know. No shame!
Well, it did come on at midnight so all of the kiddies SHOULD have been in bed. lol
Legends!! ❤👵🏼✌🏼🌻
🙌Love Your Channel!!👋
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙂👍
I Was Yeahhhh Babyyyy Love That Music👏👏👏👏
They don't make music like this anymore ❤

This is why the 70s were great. Performance 1973 I was 15, they would not allow this on TV today.
The boys were pretty animated.😅
Oh baby slinging it 😊
Chuck Berry and the Bee Gees was as good as Janis Joplin and Tom Jones. So much fun 😁.
Chuck is theee Father of rock 'n roll! Good one JAKAJ!
We had to sneak the 45 of this down into friends basement or garage to play it in ‘71 or so
So much fun :)
Good Stuff there.
luv the midnight special
Epic!!! 😂
Really nice!
Chuck Berry was set to perform a concert at my high school theater in the early 1980's but it was cancelled because I was the only one who purchased tickets. I was so disappointed.
Wow! How come no one bought tickets? Wasn't it advertised?

Wow far out I've never heard that song😂😂😂😂😂
I attended the show a couple of times and you were told to sit and behave but Chuck ended all that pretty quickly!!! 🤣
I think Midnight Special was Friday night. RUclips Movies does have Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll it costs, but worth it!
YOU MUST WATCH CHUCK'S DOCUMENTARY CALLED...
HAIL HAIL. ROCK AND ROLL
FILMED IN ST LOUIS AT THE FOX THEATER. IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY. ENJOY!

Check out the video of Chuck Berry and Tina Turner. I think it's from the Midnight Special too. Maybe the same show.
You need to react to Chuck Berry's my ding a ling live.
Could you react too Ferlin Husky Wings of a Dove! It's an old black and white video version from the Grand Ole Opre! Great religious song!
Poor Bee Gees.. they were being schooled by the Father of Rock n Roll!!!!😅😅😅😅
Not their style. Who cares? Everyone had fun.
They only sang (a half) sentence, watch and hear Barry singing a whole rock n roll song at the love and hope concert, he is great!
Somewhere there is a censor who's dead was exploding
The King of Rock and Roll. There’s always something dangerous about Chuck. And you have to move.
A true musician vs a bunch of studio cats.
Midnight Special , so stoned ?
Hello pls react Dan Vasc My Heart Will GO On Metal Brazilian Singer Brilliant 😊
Please Jamal react to Too Short's song "the ghetto"
CHECK OUT I´M SATISFIED BY BEE GEES
I mean the Gibbs don’t have weak voices but here… yeah they unfortunately do
Please check out “Lux Æterna” by Metallica
Elvis regarding Rock n Roll is a joke compared Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis
To me that looks like alot of Cocaine but it also looks like alot of fun.
You guys are all copying each other now. Jay and Amber did the same video reaction today. WTF!
