Most beautyful cooler ever! I was waiting for YEARS AND YEARS for finally getting an air cooler with such an awesome display like all modern watercoolers have, the AK Digital series finally has one :)
I have been building and gaming since the early 2000's. The constant evolution of parts and builds are what keeps the hobby interesting. I have had a few Deepcool cases but not any coolers yet. Great review!
Thanks for the review, not too long, covers most of the aspects, I was originally considering the AK400 (maybe the dark), but then I saw the shop where I was gonna order had the digital as well, watched a few reviews and after yours I pulled the trigger.
i bought this and it is super worth it. I came from stock cooling fan on my i5 11400 and I was playing a CPU intensive game which brings my temps to 70c-80c and sometimes pushes to 90c and I was skeptical at first on buying this because it might just knockout 3-5c I thought but holy hell, it does its job great. I put in cinebench immediately after i installed it and my temps won't even go above 50c on full load and the game i was playing can't even push it above that temp as well and I scored it for just $30 in my region
I was in the same boat. I have the same CPU and reaching the exact temps as you. I installed new thermal paste and this cooler and I’m sitting at 53c on full load!!!
Hi, I'm planning to buy this cooler. My question is: can you set the ARGB strips on the top and bottom to static color? Because I like my RGB set up to red only. Thank you for the review btw.
Once set up, using the software. Will the temp only be shown while the software is running. For example, will it still display temps while on the Bios or without the software running.
you should be able to fit 4 ram stick in, but we do recommend you to install the ram first, as there's a chance the first RAM will be slightly blocked by the cooler's fan, so installing the RAM first should make it work :) good luck!
yeah you can switch it to the left side if you want, as the fan uses fan hooks to clip them to the heatsink so you should be able to clip it from the left side if that's what you're going for :)
So can you change the rgb of the top and bottom of the cooler or is it just stuck on rainbow? (You said the header can control the ARGB but didn't go into it beyond that...) Really trying to keep to blues for my Rei theme.
yes, you can control the argb as long as the argb header is plugged in. the argb colour modes will depend on your motherboard (as argb colour mode depends on the motherboard's software)
U must use the usb plug for the lcd screen but without argb plugg you will have no rgb but it will still work if you just plug in the usb cable just no rgb and the fan uses a normal 4pin cpu fan man
i just bought the AK400 Digital but the temp and the utilization don't seem to work even tough i already install it properly and download the software. Anyone what's causing the problem? any clue would be helpfull. ( the display work but just saying 0 degrees or 0 percent). thank you.
sorry! we haven't encounter such issue yet, perhaps you can contact DeepCool support, I'm sure they'll be more than willing to give you a hand on that issue! hope your issue get resolved!
is there any big difference in terms of temp between the 2 I ordered ak400 digital for 38.85$ and 45.92$ for ak500s should i get 500s or nah? im on a tight budget
The ak500 should perform better due to it having more larger heat fins, but it'll depend on your CPU too! if you're opting for an i5 or a ryzen 5, or even a ryzen 7, I think the ak400 digital will be more than enough already. Good luck on your build!
@@heezy7560 yup, with the extra fans you should be able to to do a push/pull on your cooler with the original fan pushing cool air to the cooler, and the second fan pulling heat from the heatsink away
make sure the USB cable is attached and be sure to download the the DeepCool temperature software found at www.deepcool.com/products/Cooling/cpuaircoolers/AK400-Digital-CPU-Cooler-With-A-Status-Display-1700-AM5/2023/17203.shtml good luck!

Thanks for sharing!
Dp air coolers are very good and it won't break the bank. Much recommend.
Edit: the fans too, pushes a lot of air while being quiet.

glad we helped on your purchase decision! enjoy bro, it's an awesome cooler!
I already bought one and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Great video and good job comparing to the stock cooler. Greetings from Brazil.
thanks, and glad you enjoyed your video!

Amazing improvement in your temps! glad to hear it!
It's i5 bro. Working as intended. My 5900x with Dark pro 901 and silent loop 280 runs RUclips at 50C
may i ask? what is your processor bro
Who are You asking? All 3 people said what their CPUs are.@@Cat-sv3yk

do you think this cooler would be a suitable option for the ryzen 7700?
great review, now do I get more thermal paste? Or is the pre applied fine..?
great video man.... what do u recomenda for ryzen 7700??? this or Freezer 36 A-RGB or Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 ARGB
I'm curious, what's your case brand and model? I'm planning to buy a minimal case like that one.
Hi, I'm planning to buy this cooler. My question is: can you set the ARGB strips on the top and bottom to static color? Because I like my RGB set up to red only. Thank you for the review btw.
At 5:45 you see it on static color for a bit. So it seems like it can be static. But don't quote me on this, i dont know for real :P
will this fit on my fantech CG71 PULSE case?
why not make it possible to use the usb cable for rgb?
Will this cooler cool the Ryzen 7700 65W version well?
Nice vid can it handle r5 7500f ?
Great review!! Should I use the cooler with i5 12600k overclocked 150w?
yup, I think the AK400 digital will be able to handle 150w :)
just make sure your motherboard/PSU is able to handle the overclock too!
Once set up, using the software. Will the temp only be shown while the software is running. For example, will it still display temps while on the Bios or without the software running.
It'll only show with the software running :)
Good review thx!🔥🔥🔥
Any time!
Will 4 sticks of ram fit? I use mATX mobo. Great review! Keep it up.
you should be able to fit 4 ram stick in, but we do recommend you to install the ram first, as there's a chance the first RAM will be slightly blocked by the cooler's fan, so installing the RAM first should make it work :)

Hi Sir,May I use this cooler for Ryzen 5 7600x
yup! should work greatly with the 7600X!
the real question is.. can i mount the fans to the left side.. or fan postion are fixed to the right side of heatsink
yeah you can switch it to the left side if you want, as the fan uses fan hooks to clip them to the heatsink
so you should be able to clip it from the left side if that's what you're going for :)
What's the difference between the AK500 and AK500S
So can you change the rgb of the top and bottom of the cooler or is it just stuck on rainbow? (You said the header can control the ARGB but didn't go into it beyond that...)

@Tech5Productions super cool, tysm GigaChad. 👌
Would this cool the AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3D ?
yup, it'll not be a problem for this cooler :)
will the temp display work without plugging in the argb? mother board doesn't have one.
U must use the usb plug for the lcd screen but without argb plugg you will have no rgb but it will still work if you just plug in the usb cable just no rgb and the fan uses a normal 4pin cpu fan man
yup! just like marsr0ver here said, the temp display will work, as that is connected to internal USB
but you won't have argb control is all :)
Is this enough for a ryzen 5 7500f or i get ak400 zero dark plus
yup, this will be more than enough to cool a Ryzen 5 7500F
i just bought the AK400 Digital but the temp and the utilization don't seem to work even tough i already install it properly and download the software. Anyone what's causing the problem? any clue would be helpfull. ( the display work but just saying 0 degrees or 0 percent). thank you.

without using an argb cable (only with 9 pin usb) does cpu usage still appear?
yup, it does! you only don't get the ARGB accent at the top and bottom of the cooler's screen
@@Tech5Productionshi can i connect argb cable to sys_fan header?

152mm?? why is it advertised as being 156mm tho?
nvm, the video is pertaining to the heatsink, not the whole cooler
how do i flip the screen?
You cant. Its a digital screen.
So uncle roger do tech reviews now..
is the temprature in led still appear, if the motherboard doesn't have argb header ?
yup, it does! you only don't get the ARGB accent at the top and bottom of the cooler's screen
