This was fun to watch. I liked everything about it but especially the morning breakfast shots and the music there. I also want to add, since I’m such an egotistical show-off (according to a recent commenter on my channel), that I’m really glad you got me walking with my pack on one arm at 15:13, since everyone in the backpacking world knows that that’s the epitome of cool. Take that, disgruntled commenter!
Bahaha I didn’t even notice you one-shouldered it! Had to go back and check. Too cool for school! Also I saw that comment.... he summed you up alright!🙄🙄🙄 people suck. Thanks for the morning routine compliment- obsessed with that song and been wanting to use it for a while! Ps GO EVAN! Kick Moosilauke’s ass!!!
Also the one shoulder pack freestyle water grab at 2:41 haha...Parkour! P.S. I have a buddy that went out on his AT thru hike(ankle) @ Moosilauke(no Parkour) so they named their band after it and I get a nice smile hearing it and think of their music! Hike on great hiking duo...
So fun to watch you both together again! 😁
Love the bonds! Did it again this 4th of july but started at the other end. Left home in Mass at 11pm and started hiking by 2:30 which gave me an incredible sunrise atop guyot. Saw more animals than people that day
Awesome! I need to do more sunrise hikes! I can be a little grumpy without a full night’s sleep 😴
We finished our NH 48 doing that. Started from Zealand, had a gorgeous full moon view from Zeacliff at 1 AM. My daughter said, "This is the first time we've ever seen anything from here (usually rainy or foggy for us). We saw the Guyot sunrise and the moon setting over Franconia Ridge. We were going to finish on West Bond with its famous sunset - what we got was 20 foot visibility and rain, haha!
Nice hike will have to check it out. Nice to see you and Evan hiking together again so fun. Will have to go follow Evans hike thru new Hampshire.
Fun video! It was nice you and Evan hiking together again.
Thank you for such cool inspirational hiking videos..love them. Keep it up!!
Great video! Doing my first trip up there next weekend, so this was a great overview
Well done Liz!
Happy Birthday Evan 🍰
Awesome video I'm so glad I found your channel ☺️
Nice to see you out there again Liz, this a bit of a late comment lol but I'm glad to see you still getting out there.
I really wanna do that Bond Cliff hike when I do my AT thru hike😁
Wonderful World!!!
I like that the automated closed captioning says "[Applause]" for the rain drops at 11:40.
Hahahahaha that’s awesome
awesome video just awesome
Sorry so late. Great to see the Preacher out! Awesome views. Any thoughts on future hikes? Hows the non smoking status with you and Luke? Looking foward to your next adventure!
Awesome video ... “Action” when filming:) I miss watching videos of your tramily !
I can’t believe you remember that!!! I totally forgot!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Liz Kidder i don’t know why, but when you said you did that, it cracked me up!
Hi Liz, just learning how to comment on RUclips, but I have watched all of your AT videos. I am planning to thru hike the AT next year for my 50th birthday. Just wanted to let you know that you have been an inspiration to me.
That’s awesome!!!! Good luck on your thruhikers and happy half a century!!😃
Liz Kidder Thank you
@5:32 - nice camera work... WoW, those tent platforms rock! Well done video, liked this one a bunch. My wife and I plan to be hiking the Whites in a week - looking into maybe deviating to see this part of it.
Evan’s camera work at that part! Definitely worth the detour!!
Hey, those happy sunglasses still survive! Before I discovered your vlogs, I remember you walking by in Damascus with those glasses and a big smile last year. They made an impression. If only they were polarized, lol.
Hahaha that’s awesome! Yeah I can’t believe they never got broken on the AT! Not bad for $10 glasses!
Awesome flashback. Far out!!
Hey Liz. What is that blue thing behind your tent?
I subscribed to your channel after watching Even's AT video.
I was wondering why no one showed Bond cliff or Bond mountain on their AT hikes
Your last name!!🤣
nice video!
Do you think this could be broken up into a decent 3day hike if you were to hike up bond cliff trail, go to guyot mountain and then hike back down Thoreau falls trail? I am hiking there next week but haven’t been to the white mountains before and could get a good read on if this is a difficult trail or more on the east side. Great video thanks for posting!
That seems like a good fairly easy three day hike! Although I haven’t done Thoreau falls trail before so I’m not sure how camping would be down that way but terrain looks pretty easy so I’m sure you can find something!
I hope I develop this type of friendship on my thru-hike. It's cool to see that you guys keep in touch and still get together for a hike here and there!!
Hey Liz, great vid! It looks soooo beautiful up there (enough to convince me it’s worth the drive over there :) ).
Not sure if I missed it in the video, but how far in is it to the cliffy area with a view? Probably a crazy question, but I live like 5 hrs away, and I’d probably have to drive up on a Friday to pull it off. So that would only give me like a 10 (ish) mile round trip in order to make it back by Monday. Any advice or suggestions?
Yeah, I’m dumb. Just rewatched it and got my answer :/ Sorry. Thanks again for the vid tho!!
Yeah it’s a pretty far hike in. If you only have time for a 10 mile hike in the whites though, there are still plenty of great options!!
Liz Kidder Hi! Thanks for getting back to me =) So, new development: I just can’t shake the urge, so I actually put in vacation time recently to head out there next weekend (19th - 23rd, approx window). That way I should have more than enough time to do the whole thing.
On that note, is that even feasible, to break it up over a few days, like 3-4? From the video, and map, it looks like the first 5-7 miles are reasonable. So I was thinking I could sandwich two brutal hikes in between two easier hikes?
Plus a million other questions, like What kind of bear activity to expect, Are fires allowed, Will the dog hate me after?
I’d be really, really grateful for any info you can give me. Thank you :)
Liz Kidder On a semi-related note, I’m asking all those questions to mentally prep as much as I can. I have zero people in my circle of friends that have any kind of interest in backpacking, so I always have to fly solo. Well, I’m the only “human” anyway haha.
Needless to say, I’m pretty sketched out. Like, I’ll m still gonna do it, but I’m kinda banking on the usual happening: I’ll get so drawn in by the beauty that I’ll kinda think less about getting mauled by bears and what-not.
So again, any info or advice you can offer would be fantastic! :)
Another great video. I wish I weren't afraid of heights. There's no way I could stand that close to the edge. Good to see you back out in the woods.
Beautiful cliffs ! Very cool video Liz!
The dream team is back in action.
Really liked the music and of course the hiking. Missed you guys and your hiking videos.
anyone know what she used for a water bottle holder on her shoulder strap?
I get this question all the time! I got it at a store in Gatlinburg TN called “the day hiker”... you might be able to call them and find out! No clue what the brand is, sorry!
@@LizKidder let the hunt begin =D Thanks for the videos! I can't wait to get on the trail.
@@LizKidder lots of options on amazon. just searched "carabiner water bottle holder" Thank you!
Luv this video. I especially like it when u and Evan are hiking together u guys just have so much fun. And its very fun to watch. Keep up the good work hiking 😎👍😁
yes! more liz and evan is always a treat!! some really beautiful views there on that trail too, wow
Yay!!!!!
Those views are amazing!! I really need to get up North... Thanks for sharing
That was so Awesome to see you two hiking together again!! Taking him to the Bonds for a shakedown, one of the best hikes in the Whites! Now to jump over and watch Evan's videos!
Yesss!💯
AWESOME Thanks for sharing. 📸👍👍👍👍📸🙏⛺
Life is better when I watch Liz and Evan hiking videos 😁
Try Craisins with your beef jerky. I don't know why, but they're perfect together! I discovered that recently. And just minutes ago I learned that Tabasco sauce on peanuts if awesome. It makes boring peanuts good.
Haha!! You're still rockin' the heart glasses!!! And I see you still have your Z-seat. Evan needs one! If you got him one as a gift he'd use it and love it, otherwise he'd analyze it and decide it's not worth the weight. I think if he used one for a week he'd appreciate it as much as his umbrella that I could tell he missed from watching his video earlier.
Haha Luke forceddddd the sit pad on me at some point on the AT and now I’ll never go back! Craisins/jerky sounds good, tobacco sauce/peanuts sounds messy haha... thanks for the tips!
My sister got me one for Christmas and I won't even sit on a bench without it. I keep a tiny carabiner on mine so I can clip it to something that won't blow away. I also keep it on my hip belt so I can use it anytime I sit down or kneel down. I'm not a fan of acorns or rocks on my knees. That's where I know Evan would appreciate it the most. It would be his 'front porch', and give his knees some relief when setting up his camp.
Good to see the crew back together! Partly anyway 😃
An exciting treat! I will follow Evan on his hike> Loved seeing you both on the trail, until next time!
Liz, another great video. I’m glad you remembered your trekking poles this time . So nice to see you hiking with Evan again. How does he hike in sandals!
you two are the dynamic duo of backpacking videos! love it Liz!!
Great to see you back. Are those compression socks you wear?
You know.... I have no idea. Haha, they’re somewhat tight but not meant to be actual compression socks I think? They’re by darn tough! I like the look and they keep my legs clean!
Sooo Cool to see ya back together and hiking!
Missed
Such fun!!! Glad you and Evan matched up :) Thanks for sharing
So cool seeing you guys back on the trail together. Thanks for sharing
Awesome trail!! I must agree that cliff was amazing!
Love your videos Liz! Its so cool to see you and Evan out hiking again! 😊
Glad you two got a chance to hike together again. I'm planning on hiking MT. Greylock with my niece on Saturday, hope the weather holds out. Take care. ❤
Awww Mount greylock was such a great day when I was on the trail! Have fun, wish I could join!! Thanks Brian!!
Great job on the vid. Enjoyed it. awesome music
This was FANTASTIC! I truly appreciate the light hearted approach to this video. The two of you have great chemistry when working together and it really shows in this video.
Thank you!!🤗🤗🤗
I’ve already seen Evan‘s video, but I see that he’s already put out another one. You got some really good where did this trip though. Stuff that he didn’t show. LOL. He’s pretty good about getting in the brushes and finding a comfortable camp spot
Hi Scott!
2 things I noticed in the very being of video : you paid “cash” at tolls and you filled your gas tank yourself .. that’s 2 tasks we don’t do in New Jersey ... lol .. mostly ezpass and gas station attendants.
Hahaha most people have EZ pass around here, I’m just old school. But gas pumps- we do it ourselves!
@@LizKidder So many people have EZPass that sometimes that line is backed up and us old school folks coast right through.
No handstand? Loved seeing you two together hiking again! Beautiful views. Is it strange to do short trips having done the AT?
It IS kinda weird!!! Day one felt good, like I was right back in my AT life. And then day two was like oh shit I have to drive home and go to work tomorrow?! Wtf!! Haha🤣
Awesome beutiful vlogging, hiking and scenery, love this hike and also think the Bonds are the best as well as Franconia Ridge, all the best, very much enjoy the videos.
I enjoyed the video, it was good to see Evan.
Enjoyed this video. Love seeing you on the trail again. Great music too. Hope to see more of these. Thanks
Awesome to see you guys out again...miss Luke though....your production skills are outstanding...really...take Karen on some more hikes...
Luke’s working like crazy and playing with chainsaws and Kerin’s off riding horses!! But I’ll try to get em out soon!
Love it! I've missed y'all hiking together.
This was so fun. having you guys back together...everything about this vid was great. You have the best music and such a laid back, fun way of vlogging...and you bring out Evans humor. Oh, my, those bear-bag hangs were awesome...lol Looked like you were trying to bait the bears...😉😂....Was cool to see Bond cliff. Thanks for sharing!!
Hahaha bear bag hangs were a little pathetic 🤣 thank you!
👍😁Another great video, you have gotten really good at video log, thanks!
Evan looks like he's in great shape.
Hey Liz, oh I’ve missed your signature knee-high socks and sunglasses. Also missed Evan’s sandals, LOL. So nice to see you too back trekking together! I love your video.
Thank you!!🙏🏻
Hi Handstand ! Great scenery and good to Evan on your videos.
Liz, where's Luke? Anyways 2 of my favorite people from the AT who's videos Ive watched over and over again. You guys are awesome. I hope someday we can all meet up on the AT. Liz has really inspired me to get out and hike the AT. and just watching her and Evan's trail videos made it look like fun. They were great to watch and also great when Luke was hiking with them because he's a cool dude. You guys are awesome.
Luke has to work!! :(
This is awesome! Love the reunion video
The backside view was sweet.
It is, much better.
Great shot!
Nice to see your tent.
A fine video, thanks for sharing.
Say hello to Luke and Mrs Piggy
Thank you!
Thank you so much for just being you. You are amazing and I love your videos.
My favorites are with you, Luke and the Reverend. Heading back home to
Charleston, SC from my annual trip home in the summer to Philly. Always
take the long route through the Appalachians and this year I’ll be hiking to
Max Patch and thinking of the three of you!
Have fun at max patch!! Favorite!!!
Love, love, love!!!! (I did get a little dizzy watching you skip out to the cliff and look off)
Haha sorryyyyy🤣
Great video. BTW speaking of great. Really impressed w/ Evan's Joey pack. You got great shots of his carry. Thanks for entire video.
Are you and IB Tat still dating?
We never dated!
So cool you guys stay in touch, and hang out! Poor Luke having to work...but I love playing with chainsaws!
Awesome video handstand
Your video at the edge of Bond cliffs was giving me Acrophobia.
🤣🤣 sorry
Isn't Luke worried that you spent the
night in the woods with a young virile
hiker? Oh, wait. It's Evan.
Never mind..
I have been watching yours and Evan's videos since the AT and you have inspired me to hike the AT. I think you and Evan have become good trail friends. I think you should hike the PCT or the CDT together. I think you should go for the trifecta.
Thanks!! Maybe someday!!😈
i really am digging the music in your videos, makes me want to get out and do some hiking.
Good to know!!
So glad to see you together again! I really missed you guys this year. RUclips wasn’t the same. You guys are a strange but perfect hiking couple.
Awe thank you for saying that!❤️
First I’d like to say how much I enjoyed following you and Evan on your AT Thru hike. Also you’ve done an awesome job in the way you’ve continued your channel. A lot of vloggers just fall off the face of the earth and others channels just aren’t the same. I don’t really get it. It’s like they do this one epic journey and that’s it, which I think is weird. I just hike and adventure as much as I can. Anyway, yeah, the Bonds are for sure the best mountains in the Whites in my opinion. Most of the Thru hikers I follow on RUclips or just meet on the the trail I always strongly encourage to make the 5/6 mile round trip to detour to the Bonds. I tell them if their is one thing on the entire AT that you’re gonna do none trail miles, do the FUCKING Bonds, lol. Nice reunion with Evan, you’re a good host. I’m heading out tomorrow for a week long car camping in Baxter. I have 4 hikes planned. Well 3 in Baxter and one well south of Baxter, Mount Abraham. Our main objective in Baxter is Baxter Peak and Hamlin Peak via the Knife Edge but I’m also gonna hit South Turner which looks over Mount Katahdin and also hitting North Brother. This will complete my New England 67. I’m super excited 😊
Thanks for appreciating my newer videos! They’re not as popular but I still have fun making them! And glad someone else appreciates the Bonds and tries to pass that on to thruhikers! AND CONGRATS ON 67!!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We've been to Bondcliff 3x, the other two twice. Worth the trip from anywhere. Congrats on the 67!
A great video would be you installing dreads in Evan’s hair.
