Kingsley North is a lapidary store in Michigan's U.P. They make a great cab machine and sell many other brands too. They have a huge selection rough rock, tumblers, grit, jewelry supplies etc. at good prices. I buy most of my coarse grit from here in 45 lb. bags. It's the best price I have found. If you buy using the following link, I make a small commission.

I've just gotten into cutting slabs and making jewelry. My grandpa on my moms side used to make bolo ties and bracelets and ring from different rocks he collected for years. My mother just recently gave me most of the uncut pieces he had left after he passed away. I love them and think it's neat that I followed in his footsteps even though he died before U was old enough to remember him. It's one way I can connect with him even though he's gone. I love watching you videos and I learn alot from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I have found that whenever I start to learn about something new, I'm always amazed at how much more complicated and cool it was than I originally thought. Before I started tumbling rocks, I had no idea how much variety there is in rocks from all over the world. Heck, if you just take what's in Michigan it's mind boggling. I'm also a gardener. You could say the same thing about plants. Biology, astronomy, it's all just awesome. I really appreciate that God made things so complex that we can never figure it all out.
