My first ever carnatic concert was Ms. A. Kanyakumari performing at an 'event' called Vadhya Lahari with Mambalam K. Siva, Ms. Vijayalakshmi on the Veena and A. K. Palanivel on the Thavil. It was in Dec. 1987, and I got "hooked" to carnatic music. Few appreciate how naturally beautifully she has aged during the past 34 years, and her music is just so, so uplifting to souls like me, all the time. Thank you.
