During the Late Cretaceous, a giant Tyrannosaur lumbers about looking for its next victim. It has one of the most powerful bites ever seen and outsizes nearly every predator be it on land or in the water, sounds a lot like the T. rex right? Wrong! This is Tarbosaurus!

Tyrannosaurus having a much broader skull than Tarbosaurus is actually a myth (probably based on subadult or poorly preserved Tarbosaurus specimens). In reality, Tarbosaurus had a snout about as broad as Tyrannosaurus relatively speaking but a narrower back of the skull.

I remember seeing the Tarbosaurus in Zdenek Burian's book "Life before man".
It looked monumental. I later realised that the artist managed to make it look so huge by simply putting the horizon very low, but it's still epic, especially with that pose. Poor T-rex got the opposite treatment. He put the horizon line behind it's shoulders, so it appeared as it's not much taller than 2-2,5 meters (in that classic kangaroo pose). Perspectice is such an interesting artistic tool.

One thing that may explain the eyesight between Asian and American tyrannosaurs is that places like Mongolia where more arid so seeing prey in dense vegetation wouldnt be a sought after trait since more prey wouldn't be there anyways, but in the North American floodplains it would be beneficial to have great eyesight to see in the dark and forested swamps. (Along side rex having to face ceratopsians and even bigger Hadrosaurus so eyesight woulda helped avoid horns and hooves)

Use your father, Sir Isaac Newton's theory of relativity. Curve your brother like a grade scoring system lol

5:33 Biggest Tarbosaurus specimen isn't 12 meters long or neither it's comparable to T. Mcraeensies & Tyrannosaurus rex.
Biggest Tarbosaurus specimen is only 11 meters or 36 feet long & weights 5.4 tonnes.
Mcraeensies is way bigger at 12 meters or 40 feet long & weights humongous 8.8 tonnes & Tyrannosaurus rex is 12.8-13.1 meters or 42-43 feet long & weights 11.7-12.5 tonnes.
Tarbosaurus is tiny compared to them. Tarbosaurus is even smaller than Zhuchengtyrannus. Zhuchengtyrannus is the real king of Asia.

i realised while the sizes of the Tyrannusaurs were being said that the tallest man ever would have been able to pat a T Rex on the top of the head lol (if being eaten wasnt a threat lol)
Edit: spelling is a tall order
