Is it normal when you've lost your key to not be able to charge? Obviously I've been trying to leave it in the bike and jut pluging it in but I'm not getting any charge

Just bought the bike 1 month ago. I had been enjoying the bike and it was great until at 3 weeks and 350 miles 2 rear spokes broke. Now waiting for the parts for 1 week. Hopefully no more issues.

this bike is notorious for broken spokes. ive had 5 so far. be prepared for more

@@djraulcee yes you are correct. after the 2 were repaired now a third is broken after less than 30 miles. Been waiting another week for spokes. The local bike shop that sold it to me is going to re-spoke the entire wheel. Let's see if that works.

Two spokes briken for me. Seems to be a common problem. Aventon had the same problem with the Limited and changed over to 12 gauge spokes. Magnum needs to do the same.

well another (#4) spoke broke in the way in today. it was 500 miles after the whole rear wheelwas respoke. hopefully it does not set off another chain of broken spokes

Loved your detail review. Any chance could you also review Magnum summit 2021?
    Cheers

It is difficult to replace the handlebar to a swept back because the two wires for the motor cutoff are too short. the wires are not standard, not Julet, so it is difficult, if not impossible, to find extensions. So, three design flaws: 1. broken spokes, 2. short wires from the display to the motor cutoff ( no extensions available). 3. The two small battery retention springs could fall out when transporting. They should be glued in ( top of the battery housing).

I got the a new swept back handlebar installed by moving the display over to the left handlebar and placing it on a small handlebar extension. I was able to get a Julet cable as an extension to the throttle. One of the motor cutoff wires is left undone ( the right). The left is still intact. I brake with both hands so only one cutoff motor wires was needed.

How come nobody mentions encounters with rain on any e-bike reviews? Sure it's a great 2020 model, but can it handle the rough and heavy rains of the pacific northwest here in Washington State??

nice review. can you give me a link for a higher powered light for that exact bike?

@Haseeb 2 no space on handle bar. need a brighter light that goes in place of original light, plus connects to the battery

@Haseeb 2 with an extender the light would be too high for my taste. need a replacement light that goes in the exact place of the original light, plus connects to the battery

Have a Magnum Electric Metro, similar design. Differenet battery (why ?) and same crummy front light. Tried it at night, you can see, but not anything but what is right in front of you. Picked up a $19 light from Amazon with 3 LED on front, yellow sides, an adapter for horn. The top button can change front and side lights to do all kids of stuff.. Amazing difference, 4x better. It is very small, last a little more then an hour at full brightness. Charging wires (Android) but no charger. Has rechargeable rear red light too. That light can do all kinds of different lighting sequences. Not sure if you can hook this light from the USB on battery (my bike has USB port).

Just bought the bike a month ago and I am really enjoying it. You confirmed at the end of the video that you should take the battery out when transporting it. Unfortunately, one of the two small metal retention springs inside and at the top of the housing came loose and is lost when I transported the bike recently. The second spring was recovered at the bottom of the housing. I have not been able to find a replacement. In my bike they were not glued in place and vibration on the bike rack must have loosened them. Is there a way for me to get a replacement? I can send pictures or you can look at my pictures on the Magnum Facebook community page.
