I appreciate you going through each house looking for a target. This helps the student to know that there is no misunderstanding. Thanks for this.

Here's the link to my new book. I go into all the 7-base techniques and Sudoku puzzle solving theory in more detail in my book:

Are you seriously suggesting to fill the whole grid with candidates before resolving these?
That must be the most inefficient way I've seen, all those examples can be resolved with just the numbers on the board.

Yes. But I use three computer programs for solving puzzles. Sudoku Joy for iPhone. Andoku 3 for Android devices. And Hodoku for PCs. All three fill out all the possible candidates for you. With Hodoku it is the default setting and is done automatically. I prefer the software experience of taking out the human drudgery of determining candidates. It's always the same calculation for every cell. And you cannot solve harder puzzle without having or seeing all the possible candidates in each cell.

Here is a video I did on Snyder Notation where I show how to partially fill out candidates according to the notation rules:
      ruclips.net/video/BLg2WGtUZQ4/видео.html
Then I show the other way of doing it at the end of the video so you can compare and contrast the two strategies. When solving simple Sudoku puzzles using paper and pencil it's probably easier to only fill out a partial set of candidates at first.

This explanation was very useful for me. When I’m stuck on a sudoku. So even if you can fill out the numbers in this example is a very good one to learn about hidden singles.
