This data set from Trevor Paglen’s sound piece, 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘚𝘰𝘧𝘵 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 (2021), was generated on July 28, 2022 at 10am. Commissioned for SJMA’s “Beta Space” series, this installation features a voice synthesizer reading dynamically generated text from “official” data sets-an investigation of the triangulation of sound, time, and truth.
Through November 6, visitors can experience 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘢 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦: 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘦𝘯 from SJMA’s historic clock tower on top of the hour from 8am to 8pm, as well as sunrise, solar noon, and sunset.
