Murray Rance was a star. Played as a classic centre half back with the ability to stop but also take marks and provide offensive pressure. Had a raking left foot kick. Could also move CHF if required. Rance junior was more of a classic full back.

I watched richmond collingwood earlier in that 2018 season and cox towelled us up in that game too but he just couldn't capitalise
I always wonder if in that home and away game cox had have converted (i think he was more dominant in that game btw) if we would have gameplanned differently

Our backline was soft in that Collingwood preliminary final 2018 you just can't give people that much space Rance needed to body Cox earlier.
It's a hard game but our other defenders weren't great either, so it wasn't just Rance's fault. but definitely where the game was won & lost. Jack Riewoldt kicked 6 goals that night.
Yeh wow forget Jack kicked six! Would you have beaten the Eagles if you were in the GF?

@@thecarry2611 what brownlow did he win the closest he came was a equal second place finish in 2012 with Sam Mitchell and Jobe Watson winning it
