neoblackcyptron Hi mate - I introduced my 10 year old to He-man and he absolutely loves it! We've spent ages trying to complete my old collection of figures. They don't make things as good as this anymore.
cmleach100 you're right about that bro. I just have 1 figure of He-man from the He-man classics collection for old times sake. It is taller than the old 80;s figure and does not have the swinging action but looks real good.
Adam and by extension He-man always preferred the use of a far greater weapon, his mind as long as he fought smart he could never lose even in moments where he couldn't call upon his fabulous secret powers.
It's a tune for the gods, the champions, the mighty and the brave. A tune for winners, the strong and the all-powerful. It's a tune for the Universe and for all of the masters living in it.
Thank you for posting this in the correct key! I don’t know if anybody else noticed it, but most of the He-Man episodes on here are slightly sped up. You can tell by the key of the music and the voices. I remember watching this when it first ran on syndicated TV.
Yes! I commented this very thing 12 years ago. As a person with perfect pitch, I appreciate hearing it the way I enjoyed it as a child. Glad someone else feels the same way!
"I am Adam. Prince of Eternia and defender of the secrets of Castle Grayskull. This is Cringer. My *Fearless* friend. Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said, 'By the power of Grayskull!'" Lightning strikes Adam turning him into He-Man "I HAVE THE POWWWEEERRR!" He-Man points the sword at Cringer. A burst of energy shoots from the sword and transforms Cringer. He grows larger, now has armor and seems quite ferocious. "Cringer became the mighty Battle Cat. And I became.... He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe! Only three others share this secret. Our friends The Sorceress, Man-At-Arms, and Orko. Together we defend Castle Grayskull from the evil forces of Skeletor!" Skeletor laughs with an evil cackle. Whew! After all these years, I still remember that.
"Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and sang..." "25 years, and my life is still," "Trying to get up that great big hill of hooooooope" "For a destination..."
The quality of music is always an extremely important factor which determines the failure or success of a movie, series, videogame, etc. Unfortunately it's something that most of them don't worry too much about nowadays.
Sextus70 Agree about TV shows but movie and game soundtracks I listen too are all pretty good these days. Hans Zimmer, Thomas Newman, James Horner, John Williams etc. Games like far cry 3 and Assassins Creed Black Flag (scored by Brian Tyler) were excellent.
I'm probably the only one listening to this and tearing up. Miss my childhood and all the awesome cartoons. Today most cartoons are garbage and don't even compare to this. Long live He-Man and the Masters of the Universe...
Loved them when I was a kid but they're cynical cashgrabs, just overlong toy commercials. They don't hold a candle to todays cartoons. Cool theme music, it's the only thing worth keeping from He-Man and The Masters of the Universe.
TankzOnline: This. Exactly this. Even without the "HE-MAN!" vocals - hell, especially without them! - this is a finely layered, majestic, heroic and dramatic theme. Much, much more mature than you'd expect from a 1983 kids show based on a toy. It's pretty much Shuki's finest work, and that's saying a lot. Even considering it's a kids show, He-Man is alarmingly good. The atmosphere and character designs are very strong, the music is evocative and amazing, and the voice acting, though not to the standards of a Batman: TAS, is pretty good.
Well, i don't born from the 19s or maybe older! But i do agree that this theme is much more better then nowdays music! It really took me for an adventure! :)
Cara, muito obrigado por disponibilizar as músicas do desenho do He Man. Sempre achei a trilha sonora o ponto forte dessa animação, que embalou a infância não só minha, mas de toda uma geração crianças brasileiras dos anos 1980.
I’ve had this theme stuck in my head and all I can hear in my head is Adam saying “By the power of Grayskull…I HAVE THE POWER!!” Lol 😂. I’m a kid who didn’t even grow up with the 2002 version but I watched a lot of the original 83 version on DVD sets and it’s still awesome 😎. Yeah some episodes are a bit goofy and sometimes Skeletor can be a bit of a bafoon but it’s still a cool show to watch and I love the fact at the end of the episodes the characters tell you the moral of the story. The music 🎶 is funky and actually fills you with a sense of hope and makes you believe in yourself xx
Um clássico e original é sempre insuperável! Amo essa série é que venha a evolução! ,porém sem descaractrizacoes e sem mudanças de comportamento dos personagens. Que comece a grande aventura de He-Man!!! . Obrigado!👏👏👏👏

I hope that it will be a well done and original remake of the character and not just a cheap excuse to sell tickets.

This ranks right up there with John Williams "Superman" theme as one of the most iconic superhero themes ever.
Fun fact for you guys : He-man never used his sword to slash an enemy. He always used it for defense.
