Double chopper in Men's Double is indeed rare, and these two have great potential. This time they had bad luck because they face the top players from the country of Joo Se Hyuk.
Men's defensive playing for doubles wont win the top medal. There is just too much firepower in men's game. Very hard to stop all the ferocious top spins.
Indeed, Ryu is a real defender slayer, but also Oh is good against defenders. You can see some games Oh even beating Joo, who's top player with chopping:-)

the two players are stronger than the chopper Joo. Ryu is the 2004 Olymic gold medal list and Oh was in top 10 for 10 years.
