Your balance at the catch is awesome. I find myself tense and wobbly there 😅

As a lifter, I love the start at the catch technique. I do something similar with squats in my early warm up. With an easy weight, I sit in the bottom of the squat, take a few breaths, loosen and tighten the core and learn how to feel comfortable in that position. It's the most import position in the squat but you're only there a small amount of time, but you have to be extremely aware at the point. I can't wait to try it.

Excellent drills that I will use in my own rowing and coaching.
    Thanks!

Really clear - and I like that Charlotte says she 'doesn't really like drills ' so builds them into her rowing instead.

Great clinic at Swan Creek this past weekend. Immersion (cognitive, not literal, pardon the pun) is a great way to learn.

Glad you enjoyed it! Stay loose...and maybe start stretching? 😄

@@rowingwithcalmwaters you know what, I started stretching in earnest trying to be careful not to overdo it, and I felt great and went for a nice relaxing run with the masters team and wouldn't you tweaked my hamstring really good for no discernable reason at all and I can barely walk today. I'm going back to no stretching! Never liked it anyway! (just kidding...sort of)

@@stephencroce2033 Shoot, sorry you were negatively rewarded for your stretching. Hope the hamstring heals quickly and that you won't entirely give up on stretching!

I need help with finding balance in a boat. I am able to keep my hand level but it seems to be my core which is a bit off?
