My favorite Beyoncé song. I used to think she was polished and professional and efficient, until I heard this. Moves me every time. Especially the creative ways she rises and falls on the “I don’t know much about…” lines. Why wasn’t it marketed as a radio single? There should be more songs where it’s her voice naked against spare instruments so you can hear the texture and emotion of the voice.

I would not expect much from her, nor for her to offer me much, as to what she is as an artist. I don't listen to RNB, or whatever genre this would fit into, and I also don't get impressed easily.
