Bedard’s drag and release wrister is so uniquely deceptive. On many of these shots, it looks like he’s telegraphing the shot to the blocker based on his hands and where the puck is on the blade, and then it somehow goes high glove with deadly accuracy. The only current player I can think of with a comparable snipe is Matthews.
Clearly some of you boys never watched Gretzky or Hull lol. He’s way more dynamic than Ovie, at least in juniors so far. Ovie is a stud, but he’s not consistently putting up as many or more assists as he puts up goals.

Neither were Howe and Richard for that matter... The Bruins had an eye on Orr since he was like 14... LaFleur was the "talent" of the 70's while Esposito debuted in 1963 and didn't become dominate until 68-69... Esposito had his then record breaking 76 goal and 152 point season in 1971 while Orr had 139 points that season as a d-man... LaFleur was a rookie that season. LaFleur was "the" player of the 70's while Orr certainly overshadowed Esposito... Gretzky came in 1979 and completely blew what LaFleur did out of the water. LaFleur also had Marcel Dionne as a rival in 70's too, but he never won a cup...

He has some nice moves, particularly the one where he passes the puck to himself thru his legs and shoots with the blade of his stick behind his right leg. However, he's going to find out the goalies are a lot better in the nhl. He has a lot of pressure once he gets to the nhl.

Stealing pucks in the middle of a pass, poke checks, etc. If he was worried about the flex he could just get a junior flex and then still cut it down and it would be closer to an intermediate, which is still has a ton of flex. He’s 180lbs which is actually pretty much average for the NHL already so I don’t see why he would be worried about losing much flex with a junior F.
It will be interesting to see if he is successful in the NHL. Watching a video of a bunch of shots that "went in" isn't helping me decide. I don't feel like any of his shots were goals that couldn't have been made from 90% of the better players.. in other words, I didn't see shots/goals/plays that made me think "nobody else could have done that". Connor McDavid made me feel that way.
