Ah thanks for letting me know. So i watch a lot of pc building stuff and for me personally i love the picking parts and i saw that you do that part fast maybe start explaining why did you pick that cpu and stuff (give picking pc parts longer) that's my opinion ❤
Great job bud. Last week I have upgraded my very first laptop bought around 2012. From Windows 7, i5-2430qm, 6GB RAM and 750 GB HDD went up to Windows 10, i7-2760qm, 16 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD. Now is the fastest Acer 5750 on the planet.
you can also upgrade by adding a second hard drive, ssd/hdd by replacing that dvd drive and using a caddy. ain't no one using dvd drive nowadays, even if they're usually worn out after a decade anyway so its a solid upgrade
Love these types of nostalgia videos. Old PCs can still be useful especially with modern Linux operating systems available. I did get a bit of a laugh about a 14 year old laptop being seen as nostalgic though 😂. My first PC was 32 years ago.
i have this laptop and its sort of spiritual successor, the e6430... my e5420 was a company hand me down... guy in the office left and i cleaned out his desk and ripped out the HDD and replaced it with a 120Gb ssd... in its day a 4gb i5-2540 on an ssd in win7 was absolutely fine... i never felt it ran out of memory or power but mine fell apart in very light office use... the hinges were weak for a supposed' SME' laptop... i then shoved it in a box in my garage... i replaced it with an e6430 this time with 8Gb i5-3360 240gb ssd... this laptop would still do well in WIn10 today... this was a 'Professional' laptop with a magnesium frame... the e5420 was plastic... both of mine had the 1,600 x 900p screen which makes all the difference but today would be considered too cramped
@NotWlort still Linux gets worst fps in games tho and on windows you can remove most bloat ware anys and windows is more trusted and has better security than linux and windows let's you play more games and have more apps unlike Linux and plus there's custom windows 10 and 11 and every windows versions that have no bloat ware and are more optimized for performance and for gaming than linux, Linux works better on amd GPUs and not that good on rtx or gt or any Nvidia GeForce GPU and Linux is picky on ram CPU GPUs wifi and drivers for anything that needs them and Linux just sucks for gaming and other stuff etc windows better
Steam flickering is just because of the intel HD 3000 graphics chip, idk why but just move the window a bit or resize it and the flickering should stop, only happens on steam
I own a Toshiba Satellite C855 (L850 BIOS) Runs an i7-3720QM at 3.1GHZ full load (not single thread) from an i3-3120M Ram went from 4GB to 16GB Runs on W10 LTSC IoT Unlocked BIOS and tuned to the absolute max Handles YT 4k@50-55FPS Starts up in 6 seconds on a SATA SSD Your laptop can do better if you try to update the laptop bios to support hyperthreading. You’ll get the thread count to double. Wish you Goodluck with getting a QM cpu
Please share your thoughts on this video-your feedback will really help me improve the next one. Thank you!
i was watching on my 5430 with it max 16 meg of ram. I'm restoring 4 others, for Linux gradually too

@bobobobo-vj8cc he did. because it was compatible with the mainboard.
I have this processor too
Missed opportunity to put steamos on it
With a lightweight Linux distro that laptop could still have a better performance than with Windows 10
Lubuntu perhaps or linux mint xfce
@OddestStaror maybe distros like Q4OS, Linux Lite or Puppy Linux
Or prob antiX Linux. @hakkart01
You could Install Puppy Linux on that laptop, but it's incredibly hard.@hakkart01
@OddestStar lubuntu.
4:40 face reveal lol
How the hell do you notice that?
@Fast4661 moniter reflection. its the culprit behind every unintended face reveal
saw it too lol
Omg😮
Nah he look like king kong but still more handsome than me
That laptop is so repairable!
I am watching this video on this exact laptop model. huh

Same
Hello no bro 😭
Bro same. But Im running on Linux Mint
0:04 turn the old laptop into a home server
I have the same laptop, man
These old laptops make you realise that some those were upgradable to some different extent......
Exactly, thank you about that, keep in touch on my channel to give other idea when you are watching my video❤
1:19 i have windows 7 too
my mom has a laptop that she bought back in 2011 and to this day she is still using it running windows 7

Who remember adobe flash games?
4:06 Gd reference in background
I like the type of content when old pc or laptops gets maxed upgraded
OK, I don’t know if your computer is looking real because it has a Windows 7 on the side and it has Windows 8 and 10 when do you load it up?
As if you are not using it for a long time it can also cause the issue of current leakage I suggest to use a leak protector device over it
how the heck does this have a windows 8/10 start logo in the keyboard even though you bought it in 2011
Either he's wrong about the date or dell got to know about the logo before
keyboard got replaced?
@Vocaloidlover01-f8g Correct. Better if he updates too
He upgraded after 3 years
I still use it ? 😂
2014 14 Years After.
This is the coolest video ever folk's 💯
You said you turned on your laptop 😂 be careful he might be a little excited 😂
Haha good one! 😂
Dell laughing in the corner for getting a free promotion😂
i feel this video was my future
A really good idea for a video is:i bought a 10 dollar laptop
You have the same laptop as me lol
i still use this same laptop swapped an i7 into it
The fact that I am using the same laptop rn is sad bro
you can also upgrade by adding a second hard drive, ssd/hdd by replacing that dvd drive and using a caddy. ain't no one using dvd drive nowadays, even if they're usually worn out after a decade anyway so its a solid upgrade
i can see your face when you was playing minecraft lol
I use this kind of laptop same model 0:31
Disable hardware acceleration in Steam to get rid of that flickering on old iGPUs.
funny how im watching this on a laptop
OH BOY THATS A LATITUDE.
I have a similar- looking laptop, and its hard drive is corrupted
that pc is 2 years younger then me
suprised that laptop even has a intel core by itself, my first laptop had a cpu slower then zip drives and not even more then 1 core
4yrs older than my laptop
Love these types of nostalgia videos. Old PCs can still be useful especially with modern Linux operating systems available. I did get a bit of a laugh about a 14 year old laptop being seen as nostalgic though 😂. My first PC was 32 years ago.
My daily driver is a 14 year old laptop, so it's crazy to see.
To me, it's quite old because I'm still relatively young. I didn't think there were any computers almost as old as me!
@gamerig68 I started out with a 486 DX2-66mhz PC with 8mb of RAM. 🤣
smooth laptop and vietnamese languange
Same as mine but blue
I remember reviving my childhood HP Compaq CQ5720F
This is the laptop I use running windows 10
i have that exact laptop, mines a windows 7 ultimate one i still use it today because i have all my files on it, i'm typing from it right now
this is my laptop right now, but the hinged is broken 😢
The culprit for slow performance is Windows 10 - go lightweight Linux and give it a second lease of life.
bro you make so good vids
At 4:24 , you can see that l4d is at Vietnamese
you got infected by spyware
That's the same exact computer I use to have
i have this laptop and its sort of spiritual successor, the e6430... my e5420 was a company hand me down... guy in the office left and i cleaned out his desk and ripped out the HDD and replaced it with a 120Gb ssd... in its day a 4gb i5-2540 on an ssd in win7 was absolutely fine... i never felt it ran out of memory or power but mine fell apart in very light office use... the hinges were weak for a supposed' SME' laptop... i then shoved it in a box in my garage... i replaced it with an e6430 this time with 8Gb i5-3360 240gb ssd... this laptop would still do well in WIn10 today... this was a 'Professional' laptop with a magnesium frame... the e5420 was plastic... both of mine had the 1,600 x 900p screen which makes all the difference but today would be considered too cramped

720p HD thats pretty alright, und resolution doesnt matter PPI does.
that is me ,I am 14 year old and I am kind of like you
My first was the dv6
Try overclocking it and minimize the resolution a bit
my laptop is 13 years old but its specs are good enough to play genshin impact at low graphics
my first laptop is oldar than 25 years.
I also have the same PC
It's still better than my laptop (AMD C-60 1 GHz CPU soldered, 2 GB RAM soldered, obviously I use my Ryzen 7 PC instead)

daaaaamn ❤🔥❤🔥
This is the laptop I'm using now🤯🤯
I will try these modifications
But can it play sonic and knuckles collection👀
you should install linux on it and it will feel like a high end 2026 laptop
Linux has worst fps in games etc than any windows version
@yrlux1Linux has no bloatware tho
@NotWlort and even if Linux is lighter it doesn't give better fps performance or make the device better
Linux is works better on amd but still even amd GPUs work better on windows
i've seen that flickering glitch on steam on many older intel mobile cpus. not sure why it happens, but it does.
Bro could use tht laptop as a 2lndry monitor if he had pc who agrees?
Hi gamerig68. I have a VAIO Sony laptop and i also have Windows 7, nostalgic.

Steam flickering is just because of the intel HD 3000 graphics chip, idk why but just move the window a bit or resize it and the flickering should stop, only happens on steam
yes sir, thanks you for your feedback, ❤. keep doing that on my video more
You can stop the flickering by disabling gpu acceleration on steam settings
Good upgrade but install the i7 2th gen is more faster
quick guess, youre from vietnam
Play minecraft on that 😂
watching this on a Lenovo withe the same CPU :))
I own a Toshiba Satellite C855 (L850 BIOS)
Runs an i7-3720QM at 3.1GHZ full load (not single thread) from an i3-3120M
Ram went from 4GB to 16GB
Runs on W10 LTSC IoT
Unlocked BIOS and tuned to the absolute max
Handles YT 4k@50-55FPS
Starts up in 6 seconds on a SATA SSD
Your laptop can do better if you try to update the laptop bios to support hyperthreading. You’ll get the thread count to double. Wish you Goodluck with getting a QM cpu
it can run windows 11 smoothly
Why is bro using tlauncher 💀
