why was i just about to write a comment about how my recurring childhood nightmare was one where i was in the car and it started driving away with no one at the wheel 😂😂
There’s a near future movie called upgrade where the premise Noel described happened verbatim, a couple was in a self driving car that got hacked remotely and taken to a second location where they were attacked
@@brusselspr9utthere’s also a fictional movie in the game Cyberpunk 2077 about someone who is forced to carry out murders by their bionic hand after it developed self awareness, was v reminiscent of the movie Possession (1981). I am sure we’ll see similarly premised movies pop up a lot more often as prosthetics continue to improve
Im a cs major and have been into programming and computers since I was like 6 or 7. I’m only 21 now and there’s nothing more that I want right now in life than to be sitting out in the wilderness whittling with a nice knife and blunt. I’ve never even whittled before but my body needs it
They literally already have made that movie Noel is talking about. Its called UPGRADE. The first 15 minutes is literally what they are describing, all to give rise to an AI that orchestrated the whole thing.
A bunch of self driving cars from a company called cruise in austin caused a huge traffic jam last year. They all just drove into an intersection and stopped. Those things would constantly swerve and create near accidents, but after the traffic jam the city finally stopped them
I took a Waymo and fell asleep in it... the Waymo couldn't wake me up neither could the ppl coming over the intercom so they called the cops to wake me up
I’ve been in a waymo a few times in Arizona and it really isn’t as scary as you think. It drives super slow and I honestly felt safer in the waymo vs a random person picking me up in an Uber/lyft. I’ve been terrified in an Uber before during traffic but always felt safe in a waymo. (Also there is a button to pull over so I’m not sure why that dude was just letting it go round in circles.)
You can't stop it the car won't let you it will brake hard as soon as you touch the steering wheel. The best thing to do is sit back and relax the car wasn't doing anything dangerous it was just confused where to go. The video ends with the car stopping and waiting for roadside assistance and they took over nothing bad happened.
@@pennytrui1149 hell no I’ll never go in a car that I can’t control 😭 there’s too many ways it can glitch and drive me straight into onto traffic 😭 If you design a car that can drive itself you should install a mesure where a person can get behind the wheel if it starts fcking up. I don’t wanna be late to work because my car keeps going in circles in a parking lot 💀
@@LM-gm9yo the technology is new lol even Tesla isn't perfect but idk I still trust waymo because untill now no one has died. I have not once seen people freaked out or scared and I look for videos of that almost everyday. This waymo wasn't really glitching it was just confused where to go that's why it was going in circles. still it avoided everything and didn't hit anything oh you can also end the ride yourself the guy could have pressed that to stop. Not to be rude. However lots of info you guys staated is false or foes not realate to Waymo. EX: Waymo CANNOT be controlled with a joystick and some does NOT interveen every 5 miles.
They can't control the car lmfao which is why they need roadside assistance 💀. If the remote driver could control the car the loop could be easily stopped but roadside assistance had to be called
this is actually waymo scary than i thought
New TMG video idea. Lock noel and Cody in one of those bad boys lmao
Cody and Noel Do: An Escape Waymo
Put them in two separate cars and let them control each other

Its unreal that theyre describing the plot of a movie thats a few years old at this point. Its like we can watch prophecy in HD now.

Terrifying

is anyone else SO excited to see the newest ep purely for Noel’s reaction to the new Kendrick tracks 🤣
There is a great book about this that came out Passengers by John Marrs where a hacker organization holds a bunch of riders hostage, pretty insane
4:08 Finally, we get a sequel to Eagle Eye
