BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, 27 YEARS AFTER THE WAR

The film shows the devastation during the war in the former Yugoslavia. The video was recorded in the summer of 2021, so 26 years after the war, not like in title 27, but I published it in 2022 hence the title too. The film shows the area near the border with Croatia, I do not know if there were the toughest fights there, but you can see that the damage is considerable. Having been to Croatia a few times before, Slovenia and even Bosnia, I have not seen such damage, maybe except for Mostar. I sincerely sympathize with all those who lost their loved ones or their homes in this war ...

Interesting, just like open the biography of the country. I see old house and new house, so contrast between scars and new face. The new facing street between fertle green field. This is new life of Bosnia.

10 lat temu byłem w Mostarze przy okazji urlopu w Tucepi. Upiorne wrażenie. Opuszczone budynki z dziurami po pociskach, małe cmentarzyki przy bocznych ulicach niedaleko centrum i stragany z hełmami, bagnetami i tym całym wojennym ustrojstwem.
Tamten region jest bardzo specyficzny a ludzie żyją w uśpionych waśniach i konflikcie. Kiedyś na pewno to znowu wybuchnie.

Mostar zniszczony to fakt, ale jak widać peryferie też ucierpiały. Ten około 20 kilometrowy odcinek przy granicy z Chorwacją zrobił na mnie wrażenie. Nie widać tego tak na filmie, ale zjeżdżając niejednokrotnie z głównej drogi widać było całe małe wioski opuszczone zarośnięte już krzakami.
