Of course we can.
Apart from Vray, This channel deals with other render engines that works well with SketchUp such as Chaos Corona.
Check out some of my videos where we had renders with Vray for Sketchup.

Yes you are right, nothing really good comes easy. I created the model with SketchUp to show SketchUp users that it is possible to render with Corona without really knowing so much about 3dsmax. I have lots of friends who thinks they must be so so good with 3dsmax to use corona renderer. These series is to showcase a flow between Google SketchUp and Chaos corona
