Lance is just made of talent. He's awesome. I saw both him and Criss Angel in Las Vegas recently and they're both extremely good (Criss' stage stuff is much better than his TV work, IMO - that's where he shows his skill).
I meant. He is using some of the oldest/boring/dated gimmicks in magic's history. Come on: Pulling endless silver string from mouth? Moving a ball (mask) beneath a hanky ??? But somehow... You see that routine... And all of those make sense !!! That blending of mime, masks, MAGIC. It's so great to me. It's MAGIC ^_^ Definitely genious.
Believe is, I think, something that some will love and some will hate because it's done with the Cirque du Soleil and so it's got their mark on it. It's not outright magic, it's got dance and 'artistic impression' (or whatever you want to call stuff that's just downright weird!) as well. Personally, I loved it, but I like Criss Angel and I love the Cirque. Lance is brilliant, though, I agree. :-)
Shows how little you know about magic. The steam roller is old, Pen and teller did it ages ago with a massive truck and with no blanket on the ground. Screwdrivers old. Stunt men do the burning man thing everyday for the movies you watch.
i agree with you, i'm a bigger jeff fan, but i won't let lance down because of their differences,i just mean if you want to be prim, proper, extravagant, watch Lance, if you want weird, Gothic, extreme, you go for Jeff.
I'm not condemning! I only mean that it is very easy to see a startlingly skil1lful performance by a magician and then say "He is the best ever!" But unless you have observed a wide variety of such people then you should be more reluctant to use the term "best." There many many very good magicians, and many are the best in a certain field, such as close-up sleight of hand, stage illusions, card amgic, coin magic, cup and ball magic... see?
?_? Lance looks "normal" acts "normal". I like him a lot. I prefer Jeff cause he acts more "unpredictable". He looks different and try to act different.
Also maybe not screw drivers but walking on swords or nails is old. As for my mistake about burning man, I got bored with Criss' stuff after about the second episode of his new series sorry. His first two specials were O.K. Just too much cheatin on his new series.
Again you show your ignorance, magic is the effect not the method. The illusion of being run over by something heavy is the same, in fact they did it for real back in the 1900's only with a plank to cover you (as a strongman stunt). There are many different version of an effect, but with different methods to each around.
Criss Angel is my favorite magician ever and Favorite Celeb but Lance Burton is my second favorite living magician
