My younger brother brought me an airbrush kit. I talked about doing my art on stuff. He moved to California he is in the army. I get a call from him he said I sent you something. I said what is it he said don't worry about it you are going to love it. As soon as he said that my package came. It was the most beautiful kit I have ever seen. He told me I can't get you your food truck but I can make your first dream come true. He got me something that I always talked about since we was kids I drew for everyone but myself. Yeah you’re helping a lot, ( I’m a mail tech) my client asked for a airbrushed sweat suit since I have a machine. I never done it. It’ll be my second time using my machine but first time on a tshirt. It should go well thanks you. 🤍

You're still not there. You're right practice makes perfect. Its always a learning process when it comes to airbrushing. When you venture out and begin doing artist work then that is where your money is. You're to good to only do letters. I know you do a little more. But go for the big bucks. You deserve it. Prayers Buddy. Don't waste your talent only on letters. You have to take that step. If you don't then you will always just do letters. I have no doubt you are a awesome artist. I was an artist on Panama City Beach. Please take that step.

Hello. Before drawing, do you treat the surface of the clothes with a prep to remove the lint? And then with a fixer and heat treatment, sealing the pattern with an iron?

@AirbrushCustoms I am just starting airbrushing and love your videos, I'm currently trying to learn how to try and free hand without stencils and add drop shadows. What Createx paint do you use opaque, transparent, or Wicked? Is there a difference in the Wicked?

I try to avoid them from a business perspective, because they take much longer to paint.. but they are fun, and very different!

I was wondering. You seem to do a lot of script/graff and more basic styles. If someone ask for say, a 2pac portrait on a shirt. Could you do it? Do you do them? Have you done it?

You're right, I do mostly simple designs, and then the fun graffiti stuff. I don't do much "custom" work anymore.. I don't have time for all of it, and that stuff is far less profitable per hour than knocking out the designs I'm doing here.
I've done portraits before, years ago. They weren't great, but got the job done. I could probably do one now fine, but prefer not to usually.
AirbrushCustoms all good mate. It’s actually kind of relaxing watching how you flow through the shirts with ease, but I’m also learning.
I understand that completely. From a business view, it makes sense to be able to do 10 items in the same amount of time it does to create 1.

Those are cool designs love your work.. I feel like most artist nowadays are on tha tattoo band wagon do you think airbrushing is still as popular as back in the day?
Thanks! I've actually never used a tattoo machine. I would like to try, it might be a lot of fun.
As for Airbrush popularity, personally I've seen a huge increase in demand for airbrush since I started in 2009. Maybe it's just my business that's increased.. But it seems more like people in general are more excited about it. Established brands come to get runs of shirts for their clothing lines. That's a good sign

Hey! The supply.airbrushcustoms.net shop? Yes, I have the same omni 3000 airbrushes I use on there, but paint is much harder to stock and distribute.
I typically use createx paints, but I'm selling spectratex paints on the website. They're also high quality paints! Many people prefer them, including the late Jaime Rodriguez airbrush legend who helped create them!

Hello I'm just starting out myself on the spray gun what does pushing down the toggle bottom does verses pulling it back
Push down is just air, pulling it back sprays paint as well.
I got the iwata compressor now I’m clueless on what airbrush to get.I’m a tattoo artist so I’m use to a lot of lines. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of lines in airbrush. You keep saying that $4. "Don't know what I'm gonna do with that $4". Be careful choose your words wisely cause you can cause you to get no money. Be thankful for what you're getting. Some people dont get that. You're saying it like Hey I'm here pay me. Business dont work that way especially in 2021. Be careful what you say and how you say it. You're on Social Media. People don't like a cocky attitude. In just saying the way I see it. When people like you they will support you. But even those people if you say something that offends them, the you've lost them. I'm just being honest. I speak how I feel. I'm 100%. You're a great artist but when you depend on people's support just be careful what you say. I'm a Fan.

I use to when i was doing walls for kids to do high proof alcohol like 80% because it dries really quick but i dont know if it would work with T-shirts and wearable s
I've reduced with alcohol before. Sprays well, but if you think your paint too much it'll wash out more easily
@@DaleTheAirbrushGuy i think that's because of the high sugar contend in the alcohol but on walls and posters its fine because after you can hit it with hairspray
how many mm is your airbrush?

I've been practicing for 12 years and I'm still learning!
I use the badger Omni 3000 airbrush mostly, and createx paints. I've used lots of brands though, many are great to work with!

Hey brother, I’ve been starting airbrushing for 3 months... the problem that I’m having is my airbrush spits water and I would like to know how to stop that from happening
Hey! If your airbrush is spitting water out constantly, it's probably moisture in your air lines from the compressor.
You'll need a moisture trap for the air lines. Also, try draining the tank on the compressor (outside!) If the tank is full of water that it brought in from the humidity in the air, it can make it's way through the hose and airbrush
AirbrushCustoms I will check on that... whats a good way of thinning paint. Your paint flows amazingly and I have lots of trouble with that.
