85 YEARS LONG BOUNDARY DISPUTE BETWEEN PHERIMA AND PIPHEMA VILLAGE FINALLY RESOLVED

  • The settlement of boundary dispute between Pherima and Piphema village, which was started in 1938 nearly 85 years ago, was resolved amicably on June 24 at Mid-Way resort, NH 29, Tseipama. Earlier, laying of boundary pillar and prayer was proposed by Pastor Piphema ‘A’ baptist church, Pezangulie Keyho.Brief background and mediation of the boundary was done by Senior Advocate & Mediator, Taka Masa.
    Short speeches were delivered by head GB Pherima village, Vikato Ayemi,president Chakroma Public Organization (CPO), Zhato Kimho,president Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) Shikaho Zhimomi and Pelezetuo Kuotsu, president Piphema Khenu Krotho.
    Later thanksgiving and blessing was pronounced by Rev.Dr.Phughoto Sema, Executive Secretary, WSBAK. The programme was attended by Western Sumi Hoho (WSH), Chakroma Public Organization (CPO), Piphema Khenu Krotho etc

    It is indeed an immense joy to witness the peaceful settlement of a long held disputes between the 2 sides. Believing that this will be an example and an eye opener for other people as well. May God grant more wisdom to the leaders even in the days to come.

    I thought its between two Angami villages.
    Land disputes is one of the hardest problems to solve. They have shown a great example. It would be good to know how its settled amicably so that others can also follow suit.

      Another name of pherima is Alato for pherima A and sakipheto for pherima B.

    Cant believe my eyes that was a boundary issue being resolved. So used to paper wars and violence that this kind of news and happenings feels unreal.

    Yes, we should have understanding between our own brother and sister,
    It'll be better to resolve the Lhamhainamdi and keyivi villagers also in this very same plateform through mutual understanding on this long pending disputes between them,
