What did you do to blend the line left by the tape on the hood. I assume a hard line would be left without a blend melt product--but your tape line appears to be hard up against the graphics. Overall, fantastic repair!
There will be a hard line that is visible if the graphics are removed or changed. When I say “blend” I am referring to blending out color. I use “melt” when I am referring to melting out clear. In this case I blended the color and did not melt the clear. If the customer changes his livery and the visible hard line is a problem, I will address the hard line fir him. But as far as I know he has no plans for changing his livery. Thanks for the questions and watching my video. 👍
It is an old slide hammer that had a fitting in the end that you could put a sheet metal screw in and he just tack welded the end of the screw to the sheet metal. Over the years the slag has built up to what you saw him use in the video.
