Hey , I am a 1st yr architecture student. Getting to know about the salary and scope of architecture has crushed me . Money is an important factor for me. What other industries/jobs/ titles can I get into with a b.arch degree ( without doing course/masters ) ? Can I become an art director with b.arch degree
if you want to become art director try to pursue that course i will suggest...
barch is 5 year of course you will learn alot but if you are sure about what you want to do do that instead just an opinion

How much free time does one get for other hustles like youtube or business ideas or free lancing.
You can start anything at any point of time.
But you have to manage your time accordingly.
Its difficult but not impossible depends on your motivation level

i would say if youre not so financially well off and need to support your parents or others after graduation , don't take architecture . You can earn well but after many years and after setting up your own office .
Architecture is really an expensive course...
1. Every year U will go to tour to some city ( 10000 rs. Approx.)
2. You will need a lot of expensive drafting and other tools to do your daiky work which costs 200rs. Weekly Approx.
3. U will need 500-600rs. or more For Model making in design every semester
4. U will need gaming Laptop of 60000rs. Min.

Architecture is also called as " ARCHI-TORTURE"...
Ek reality aur h is course ki that creative , art, drawing dekh ke log is field me aate hain ...aur reality ye h ki bahut hard work krna padta h except art , drawings.. it's like shikaari kuch attractive cheez dikha ke shikaar kr leta h...
It's about designing space (especially Buildings) to ek building haqeeqat me bnane me jitni mehnat chaahiye hoti h...utni mehnat krni hogi to complete that course.
If u r sleep lover , then this course is not for u at all...

If you find that your intrest matches than only join it.
Otherwise it will be very tough.

Because there are only 928 seats (approx.) Including IITs ANS NITs
And ONLY 2 IITs And 9 NITs Offers B.ARCH Course

Depends on which nit you get but yes overall fees would be around 10-12 lakhs excluding other expenses.
Even iit costs you 10 lakhs for b arch .

yes you can get luxury at certain point of time..

But still what is the average salary for freshers?
Min can also be 10,000 like for real, till 20,000. This is what ik for freshers. It might be more that this in very well known firm but its difficult for freshers
