- Bottom bouncing for walleye on Lake Erie is easily my favorite way of catching them for my customers. This video demonstrates some simple yet extremely effective ways for filling your livewell with a nice limit of walleye.
Wow, that is a lot more weight than we use around my area. Lakes in my area are dirty and shallow.
I’m sure Lake Erie is an exception to the rule. It’s not unusual for me to bottom bounce with 10 and 9 ounce weights in up to 80 plus feet of water. It’s all about keeping the baits where the fish are. We shot that video in 45 to 55 feet with those weights and although some might say that’s too much weight, you can see it works and I do it on a daily basis. Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it.

What speed do you troll at?
For bottom bouncing, I’m usually going 1.4 to 1.6 mph. Thanks for the great question
