Wow Michael! Another AAA+++ video. Glad to see you with a life jacket on. As always, the music choice is very powerful along with the stunning visuals. Thanks for taking the time to create all of your work and sharing. Safe Travels Amigo.
Thanks man, really appreciate it! Let's plan for a trip out there one of these days. There's plenty of areas yet to witness I'm sure either of us have been to! 😉 👍
It's certainly a stunning place to visit! Have you ever been during the winter months? After a recent snowfall and when the lodge displays lights around the holiday season, simply incredible! 😉
Micheal, William and Erin here. Thank you. It's easy to say we enjoy your content. But there's the prep, the drive, often limited time , and all your work with the cameras. You do good work Micheal and we enjoy it. Lake Cresent... Did you happen to see my Canon PowerShot 3mp camera from back in the day in the lake? Wind picked up BIG TIME - white capped. Over turned a canoe. Glad to see your life jacket. Respect that lake. Oh.... the squeaks. 😁 Yes, I noticed those.🤣 Loving my Alcans.
Hey guys! Appreciate the continued support! I'm sure you're not alone with lost cameras... one can only imagine the SD cards filled with the "perfect shot" never to be seen 😆. Even on this trip the wind certainly picked up towards the end, glad I got the time out on the water before the weather turned for the worse. But yes, the squeaks are slowly subsiding and I could not be happier... Have fun on your future trips and thank you again for the support!
@@ConquestOverland Yo bro. To all your viewers that lake changes FAST. Although I'm from Hawaii kinda used to water, Cresent white capped big time. Be smart, be safe, wear a jacket. I owe that to your viewers. Perfect shot? Brother you took my email. We were UP this weekend. I got your perfect shot. 😆 Hunting ground for your drone. Wish I had your tech skills. Send a note, I'll share the shot. But like you, " it's my waypoint". 😆
Yeah, Yeti certainly collect a few more trail trophies after this trip. All comes with the territory with this type of travel... 🏆 The bridge was a great landing spot for sure, definitely would like to come back and ride the trail in it's entirety on a bike!
Once again, your video doesn’t disappoint. I didn’t notice the leaf spring noise until you pointed it out. Totally gone. Lol. Your videos are so cool to watch. Keep ‘em coming. 🔥👍
Really appreciate the support and sharing our "no squeak" accomplishment! 😆 Been a long time coming.... Stay tuned, much more on the way for this year!
Right on! Port Angeles would make for a great launching point to numerous areas for the peninsula! Thank you again for swinging by the booth at Expo, fantastic to meet you as well! Thank you again for the support 👍
I think this is some of your best work yet. For a second there I thought you were going to stop when the trail got over grown, but I’m so glad you didn’t disappoint me. It’s a truck! Don’t worry about the scratches, they are good memories that help you tell good stories. I’m really enjoying the camera work and you definitely get full marks for wearing the life vest. I appreciate you leading by example in that way. Keep up the good vibes.
Thank you very much for the support! Overgrown trails are a usual sight in some areas, as long as it's still with leaves on it (minimizes the damage) I'm happy to push through haha. Cheers! 🍻
Must be so incredibly peaceful waking up in a location like that….love the Olympic national forest….makes me nervous to go out on my own and sleeping out there on my own…be safe…
It was stunning to say the least! It can be a little intimidating being out that far alone, though if you have the right gear and decent understanding of certain situations it can make for one incredible trip! Have fun and stay safe on your future travels. 👍
Right on! Hopefully the overgrowth wasn't as bad during your visit. Yeti definitely walked away with some new "trail trophies" after that encounter... 😆 🏆
Much appreciated, thanks for the support! Oregon is always on my list of places to venture more into. Due to the drive involved (there and back) it unfortunately compresses down any weekend trip... Though I'll certainly keep you in mind for future travels that way! 👍
Lake Crescent is beautiful. Good move putting in on the leeward side. I've seen people out there who almost can't get back when the wind blows. They were in fiberglass sea kayaks - your kayak would be even more of a kite on the water. Fun to see a water approach to Devil's Punchbowl. Check out Klosche Nanitch next time you're in the area. I know they removed the Lookout back in 2012 but I believe there's a platform there now - great views. Also wondering if that old Civilian Conservation Corp camp is still at the start of its trail off the 101. Oh Man - that trail - that is soooooo PNW. It's part of why full sizes & trailers just don't work great out here. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for the continued support! Yes indeed, absolutely love visiting Lake Crescent! The weather was certainly one to contend with at the end but still glad to have had the time on the water earlier in the day. I'll definitely put that lookout spot on the list for future travels, always interesting see new areas such as that. An you are certainly right, the overgrowth on that trails was rather intense but something I've encounter numerous times while out on any random forest road here in the PNW. Simply comes with the territory out here... haha. Have fun on your future trips and safe travels!
@@ConquestOverland Once you visit Kloshe Nanitch, you can crossover to the North & end up on NF-30 on to WA 112. It empties out near Klahowya Campground on Sol Duc River & Sadie Creek 4x4 trail (though that one can be tough). The route over has occasional dispersed campsites with views of Strait of Juan de Fuca
Definitely put it on the list to check out! Even for me it's roughly a 2.5 hour drive (traffic depending) and it's well worth the time investment. So much to see out there anytime of year hence why I have so much episodes on the Peninsula 😉 Have fun and safe travels!
