Reception on FM has much disturbance because of the long display cabling, it is advised to place the ESP as close to the display as possible and eliminate the display wiring. I have tried to use some ferrite coils on the display cabling, this helps somewhat but not as much as fitting the ESP together with the display on one board.

I have seen shields placed around display modules to reduce interference.

My TEF6686 desktop 2.0 tuner version was bought from AliExpress, China. With and without a roof-top 8-element 87-108 MHz FM Yagi connected, there is no internally generated display panel noise. Hence, the RF dB noise floor is low. In your TEF6686 video some digital hash noise is present on certain blank frequencies. Is this internally generated TEF6686 display panel RFI noise? The test is to see if the digital hash noise is still present with the antenna wire disconnected from your TEF6686 project tuner.

Nice video. But you should update to the latest firmware to have much more functions.
