I hadn't realised that the Lost Words were about the removal of certain words from dictionaries. I love Jackie's work and I have read some of Robert McFarlane's books. And strangely today I was in a book shop and this set of postcards was there. I might go back tomorrow and buy this beautiful set
Its hard to hear about our seas being so polluted with plastic 😢it really is critical that we change the way we live with our planet. I loved listening to your answers and I will definitely go and watch your recommendations. 💓
You and I have exactly the same experience with the Katie Daisy deck. I felt annoyed when the cards told me to “Smile and breathe deeply”, or to “savor life”. That’s too easy and it’s not creative. But I agree that the quotes and little poems are nice. So here’s what I did…I removed all of the cards from the deck that give me a command or an instruction. And I left only the cards with the quotes and poems. And now I incorporate those cards into spreads where I use multiple decks. It’s been a really nice solution. Regarding the wild cards and the lost spells book, I could envision writing some of those little poems on the back of the cards to create an oracle deck. That would be really nice! And finally, the witches wisdom tarot has also been my favorite deck this year so far. I don’t mind the big size the cards, because it actually gives me more to look at, but the card stock is a bit thick. Other than that, it is an absolute joy to work with. Great Video as usual!
That's a great idea for the Wildflower deck, and also for the Wild Cards. I hadn't thought of them as space for writing, but that has certainly got me thinking... Thanks for watching and sharing your ideas 🙏🥰
I don't look at it as 'commands' or 'instructions' but as 'reminders' because sometimes, in the whirlwind and chaos of this life, I forget to 'breathe' and/or 'savour life'. Even the simple, easy, and obvious sayings are helpful and important if we really start to think about them deeply. ❤
@@BetwixtDandD I hear you. You make a great point! I too, sometimes forget to slow down and take a moment to appreciate the small things in my life. Thanks for your perspective.
I’m so happy this tag led me to your channel! I often think of the earth as the giving tree and humans as the children who kept taking til there was nothing left to give Loved watching your response x
I too am crushing on the Smoke Ash and Embers 😍 it's still on the wishlist for me though. I'm so glad you did this tag, I really enjoyed your responses!

It's a lovely set - I've also gifted it, and recently bought Jackie Morris's newer cards, The Unwinding. Her art is so beautiful!
I really enjoyed this tag and hearing your responses. I just discovered you through this tag. 😍

Thanks for watching! Yes, it's something I appreciate about the tarot community that there is so much love of nature, which is really positive 💚
