Hurrah! at last, someone who can explain and teach extremely well, and knows what they are talking about. Great explanation & demo of this machine. Thank you.
Yay, arrived today, which is fantastic as I only ordered it yesterday. Already 1 huccup, bobbin winder, thread getting caught under the winder. But easily resolved, buy just pulling off the round thingy lol, to gain access. After I tried picking the caught up threads with tweezers, threader picker and a magnifying glass. Not realising that I could just pull the thing off. Hahahaha Happy sewing everyone.
Love it arrived yesterday, Just extended the guarantee to 5 years, Been playing this morning its fantastic. All this through watching your video thank you
Hi Sarah - you can use the secure stitch button (the one that is a dot within a circle) to secure the stitches and this will then most definitely it unravel! 👍
I’ve just brought this machine and I’m very happy with it, but one problem I have that the reverse stitches appear loopy. No other stitches do this. What I’m doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi - sorry you’re having problems when reversing - did you purchase from us? If so pop it back to the shop so we can take a look for you. Sorry I can’t think otherwise why it would be doing this 😊
No I live in uk, but what your video before I brought the machine. I was hoping you might have come across something similar. I do love the machine and despite the problem I’m glad I saw your video and brought this machine.
Thanks in Louth Lincs. Being nearly 80 I don’t drive much. But if you do come across that problem in the future I’ll be happy to hear from you. Much appreciate your help. Xx
Kate Underhill - Hi Kate - the machine would cope with sewing all kinds of fabrics, knowledge of the machine and knowing when to extend the stitch length etc or perhaps use the walking foot would be beneficial- but if you were sewing only heavy upholstery fabrics day in day out - you might be better off considering a more heavy duty machine - maybe the Atelier range or an HD model - hope this helps? Jo
Hi. Just upgraded from a manual to this machine. Thanks for the demo as it's very useful. Please can you tell me what on earth M R and P stand for in the stitches Icons. ie 6 has M and 7 has R and 25-29 have P M and R but I can't see anything in the instruction book on what it stands for!! Thank you.
Hi Jen - sorry for the late reply! with the zig zag stitches 6 and 7 - the M stands for Middle and the R stands for Right - watch the needle as you move between the numbers. The P stands for Piecing (so it will change the stitch length to a smaller length than straight stitch 00. and the M and R are Middle and Right hand side. - Hope this helps? Jo
Hello, I bought this sewing machine last saturday. I've been trying some things out and I have a problem with zigzag on the edge of my cotton fabric. While I zigzag the fabric is pulled together or the edge folds double so the fabric doesn't stay nicely flat. Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong, please? Thank you! Greetings from Sonja
Hi Sonja - sorry for the late reply - but you are probably better off using the over edge foot C and number 9 stitch - take a look in your book and that should explain how to use - good luck - Jo
I got this machine a few days ago and have been watching videos on how to use it before having a go - this is one of the best. Thank you!
Thanks Terri, enjoy your lovely machine
Very good, but I really needed close-up views of the controls and accessories. Easy to hear and understand. Thank you.

Oh wow - thank you Katy - kind of you to say - it's a great machine!!

Excellent instruction without annoying noisy music!
Fantastic clear, informative video.
Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I just followed along with my brand new machine 😀
Exercellent review. Thank you so much. Just waiting for mine to arrive. Stay safe.
What a great video - very clear explanations and demonstrations - thank you very much!
Thank you.
My instruction book is in Spanish, LOL, thank God for the internet and youtube
so the sissor cutter of thread ensures the thread will not unravel ... No need to tie loose ends at end of rows etc ?
Hi Sarah - you can use the secure stitch button (the one that is a dot within a circle) to secure the stitches and this will then most definitely it unravel! 👍
How do you mute the beep on this machine please???

Hi would this machine be ok to use with heavier fabrics for home furnishings or is there another Janome that you might recommend? Thanks
