Here is a question ...if we don't have a good quality picture (like you are working with) and it's necessary to draw with brushes like in illustrator to convert picture into 3d digital art then what should we will do? I am also looking for tutorial to convert fun picture ( that may not be with correct angle and not of good quality) to a cartoon style like you did... Please consider the request. Thanks
any way to decrease the amount of colors in each area to just a couple so that its more cartoon like? I want it to look more like anime and anime only has a few colors on the skin and you have 6.
FAIL... so you started the video saying this wasn't going to be a long way to apply this effect... this is the longest way to get the cartoon-like effect I ever saw! On top of that this title is misleading. I thought you had a filter, a one-click type of filter you could apply and it once and get you the result. To get this done you need way too much intervention, is not easier than any other way I saw this so far. In my opinion, if you can't make an action to automate the process then is not good for production or as a workflow. Lastly and honestly this is not by far the best outcome for it. It could have been the choice of the photo because there is too much hard light and then black but then that's your fault for picking that photo.

Hello and thanks for all the good content you put here. I like this one as well but I would have love a more “curvy look”, at least less “edgy” with all the remaining straight lines. I think cartoon is all about curves. I thought some “smoother” or “liquifyer” would be used after step one. Maybe some suggestions or Just some rough impressions on the fly, thanks again for the good work.
Well. This basically changes the whole game I guess lol. We've been doing digital portraits like this by actually....drawing them...like in Procreate like most people lol. I don't think the final results is quite as precise, but this is WAY faster! Going to definitely go this route, then finish up touches afterward.
