    A few things note, sending people to your song achieves the usually 'Saves' on the song and plays. Saves make a difference for the popularity score and it allows for potential algorithmic push. The method you have detailed is good for plays, but not really saves and to push for algorithmic push for the individual song. Best best is to have two adds, one to your own artist playlist, and one on to the song.

    Hi, Greetings from Poland :). Just to be more specific, remember that this is an ads campaign optimized for link clicks and not for conversions. If someone clicks this link it doesn't mean he opens your playlist, so conversion optimized ads will be more cost-effective and algorithm will try to find people that will go to your playlist. So conversion ads should be cheaper, waaay cheaper than 0.5 of a $ :))

      You sound very knowledgeable. Please explain how to tell hypeddit or FB ads that you want conversions and not link clicks. I am still not clear on terms such as impressions, engagments, vists, clicks etc.

    Just stumbled upon your channel. I produce both Lofi Soul, and ambient electronic/future garage instrumental music and started releasing my music to music streaming platform 3 months ago. I was curious to give hypeddit an experimental run also for a month to see, and your video has encouraged me to try this out. Thanks for the video!

    Very nice, detailed video, mate.
    Thank you very much.
    I do have one question though. How did you make your playlist?
    Did you make it from ‘Spotify for Artist’ or from your personal Spotify account and pass the link into your Spotify for Artist page? or how exactly?
    Cheers,
    Charly

      Yes, the campaign will be archived and you can't run them again, that sucks.

    Question. So you stopped after 288 clicks correct? Then you seen a 5k increase in monthly listeners, that doesn't make sense, did you keep the ad going for longer or maybe I missed a piece of the video?

    • @OtherRecordLabels
      @OtherRecordLabels  Год назад +3

      It’s a great question. I had to rewatch. The Spotify for artists numbers are undeniable. Maybe I misread the Facebook ads click total. But that jump in monthly listeners was accurate, as you can see. I didn’t do anything different during this time. Is it possible that impressions lead to listens without a click on the ad? Unlikely but possible. Is it possible that Spotify noticed an increase in traffic to my music and in turn increased my algorithmic placements? That’s likely. I really have no explanation for the big jump in monthly listeners compared to the click through rate. I honestly don’t know how Spotify determines that number.

    • @PRAFITJOSIAH
      @PRAFITJOSIAH Год назад

      @@OtherRecordLabels Interesting, yeah that number is the amount of NEW listeners in the previous 28 days. Definitely appears to have come from something outside of FB, or maybe somebody you reached, shared it with there audience? Either way Congrats. Will you continue using that in the future or have you stopped using it?

    So cool that you made this video. We have not used Hypeddit for their ads but we do use their landing pages for our Facebook Ads. If you ever want to do an episode about ads I’d love to be a part of it 😁 we currently spend over $1,000 per month and are generating hundreds of thousands of streams per month in return using this exact type of playlist promotion!

    • @OtherRecordLabels
      @OtherRecordLabels  Год назад +1

      Is it also possible that some of the new fans added some songs to their playlists and were listened to as well?
      My biggest guess is the Spotify discover algorithm picked up that month, maybe because of the increased traffic from the ads, or maybe just a coincidence. I have no idea.

    • @scunny
      @scunny Год назад +1

      @OtherRecordLabels yeah of course people can add your song to their personal playlist, but that's from 250 click throughs. It's not going to create 5k monthly listeners. Regarding Discover Weekly, you can specifically see how many streams you've had from that playlist for your specific song, the last 7 or 28 days. You can also now create your own specified date to check. It would perhaps make sense to review your algorithmic streams for that specific time you ran the campaign and share that within your video etc?
