I like this video. I have the same Harley 3 wheel 1976. clutch was in pieces. ground was missing. But started right up. Need to find where wires go to starter/generator.
Thanks, Here is a link for the manual, I think the wiring diagram is on page 155. Let me know if this helps, if not we can try and arrange a call. www.golfcartreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/HD_Manual_Service_1963_1980_GS-compressed.pdf
When you put the first half of the primary on the shaft what direction was the piece that has the felt seal oriented? Felt seal pointing toward the inner o-ring so it’s always in contact with the inner sleeve?
Yep, the felt is towards the the O-ring on the crank shaft or towards the engine. The felt should be slightly oiled too, its to help lube the bearing in the clutch housing. Here is a link to the manual, section 4, and page 4-4 has a diagram showing it. www.golfcartreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/HD_Manual_Service_1963_1980_GS-compressed.pdf Thanks for watching!
Can you tell me how to put the throttle cable on? I bought a new carb and not sure how the cable goes. there is a bend in it do i push it through one of the slot's on the lever. i assume i have to pull the lever back then install the cable so when i push the gas pedal it will push the lever back to the back of the cart?
What I did was I put the cable though one of the slots on the throttle lever on carb, than put a brick on the gas peddle. I used a cable clamp that I slid over the cable then tightened up about a1/4"away from the throttle lever on the carb. After that I made sure it closed and opened all the way and so far it works well for me. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@SABsGarage I haven't watched all the videos just yet, I'm going in order. You said that your carb was not repairable, can you please tell me which carb you used? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Would you happen to have a parts# for the clutch
I do not, I would recommend looking here: www.vintagegolfcartparts.com/Category/harley_davidson_clutch
