What an absolute state of those shelves .Tha manager should get their act together, I've never been in such a disorganised Aldi as that . Ps apple sauce is served with pork .

While you're absolutely right that those plant based meals are highly processed foodstuffs, I can assure you that the frozen packages of animal based ones are just as bad. We've been plant based for over 7 years, but even when we weren't, we wouldn't eat awful stuff like bacon (categorised as a class one carcinogen by the W.H.O meaning it increases your risk of cancer) or processed animal based sausages, scotch eggs, or burgers in white bread. I think those plant based meals are good for people transitioning to a wholefood plant based diet, and most people I know who became vegan only used them for a year or two before learning to cook wonderful food themselves (using vegetables, and extremely healthy things like lentils, chickpeas, and beans). It's often assumed that vegans only eat processed food, but personally I feel we eat the greatest food you could possibly eat, and once you learn how to utilise a well stocked spice rack you'll never go back to processed food, or of course, paying for defenceless animals to be slaughtered 🙂🌱
Vegan products are always more expensive. Smaller market so they will be. The Aldi no pork burgers are nice.
