- I review my RTIC Ultralight 52 ice chest and Lunch Container from unboxing to one year of extensive use. I discuss ice retention using various types of ice, and we see how well it holds up to daily wear and tear in the elements for one year.
At the time of posting this video, the price for the Ultralight 52 is $199.99, same as when I purchased it a year ago. The "On Sale" price of the Lunch Container is $7.49.
This may be the best working man’s review of a cooler I’ve seen on RUclips. Good job sir.
i hereby declare this man as the official reviewer of all products henceforth.
Lol Thanks
Honestly this might be one of the best reviews ever of a product on RUclips. a real review not just unboxing or simulation. Thank you so much! Will more than likely be purchasing an RTIC cooler and even possibly that lil feller box you showed.. Thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful!
Rtic needs to sponsor this man. Great review, just bought one.
That’s how a review is supposed to be! Dang good review
Outstanding review. Exactly what I needed to hear.
Glad it was helpful!
Great review! I’ve had mine in south Florida temps for 6mo now. Been impressed all round. No complaints, especially for the price!
What an awesome review.
Just got my patriot 32oz RTIC cooler the other day.. love it.
Great review, maybe the best!
Thanks for the review. I'm going to buy the 52 model later this week.
Nice . I had seen comments about the lid messing up in direct sun, but yours looks fine. Can’t wait to use mine.
That happens to the rotomolded coolers since the plastic type is different or softer heard the blown plastic does better under higher heats. But still you should try to put them in the shade or out of direct sunlight.
The review was really informative too
Great review! Another way to make block ice that is even more practical is to freeze a few of your water bottles and put them into the cooler. One can also put a cheap towel or blanket over the cooler to keep the sun from beating on it, which will help with ice retention. As added benefit of cover the cooler, obe also protects the lid from warping.
Great review!
This was a great video and review!
Thanks for watching
Wow, THANK YOU for documenting such a thorough test! We'd like to contact you about your experience with our cooler. How can we get in touch?
I just saw the email you sent and replied. Thank you!
Awesome review. I wanted to know how durable it really was, thanks.
I have the 32qt version in the back of the bronco. My only complaint is also the little wire coming off of the drain plug. The basket rattles around from the factory which is a nuance inside the vehicle, but a few pcs of clear fuel line solved that issue.
Your fuel line mod is a good idea.
Those hats are nice. Where did you get them?
I think I got them at Atwood's.
Just won one. How do we keep handles from banging against side going down road?
Need to make retainers.
I've only had mine in an SUV once. Two points of rattle/noise were the handles and the basket inside. Just a thought for the handles...you might try putting an adhesive strip of Velcro on the side of the ice chest to give the handles something soft to bounce against thus reducing the noise. The fix for the basket is to take some small rubber hose, like clear fuel line, split it and install around the edge of the basket. A friend of mine did the fuel line trick for the RTIC in his Bronco and solved the rattle.
GREAT VIDEO !!!!!!
Did the tray in the divider come with a coolr for 200 bucks? Thanks.
Yes, back when I bought it they came with the cooler. However, the website says they are now sold separately.
@@myfoundrylifethank you for posting this, everywhere I see people inbox these with the basket and divider!! But when I got mine there was nothing in there
Just bought mine didn't know these were a thing well shit with the divider with the basket
I would suggest avoiding ice all together.
RTIC coolers are ROTO molded, it says on their website. Nice video!
Are these bear proof??
I'm not sure, but I think a cop can get in it as easy as anyone else. jk
