As much as I'd like to see Australia one day, NZ is my dream destination (had a trip planned to visit for the upcoming America's Cup race, but alas......). So thanks for taking us along on this series and oh so looking forward to seeing more. BTW, please don't harm the bread, it looked so good.
New Zealand was one of our dream spots too! We struggled picking between the North or South Island. We chose the North, so can’t wait to explore the South Island one day. Sorry to hear about your trip being cancelled. We’ll be able to get back out there again. That bread had some weight to it so it was just fine!
My visit to The Coromandel was a bit of a disaster. Torrential rain for over 2 weeks had closed the road in many places due to land slips. I spent 5 days solid IN my AirBnB as the rain didn’t stop. When I finally left to meet up with friends in Auckland it took ages to drive and the centre of Auckland was 4ft deep in water. Such a beautiful place and I all but missed it. Great vid.
Yikes! When did that happen? Not gonna lie, we would’ve been pretty disappointed if that happened on our trip. All the more reason to plan another visit!
@@KeepGoingPlaces 2 years ago it was towards the end of a 6 week tour of both South and North islands and while disappointing so many other highlights made up for it - did you get to 90mile beach ( it’s 60 miles long 🧐),Russell and the Bay of Islands? I don’t think I’ll ever get back there - I’m 73 and the flight from UK nearly finished me off 🥺
A 6 week trip to NZ sounds great! Glad you experienced 4 good weather weeks too. We did not make it to any of those, looked into the bay, but prioritized some other experiences. We only had 7 days on the north island so focused on the center of the island so we didn’t have to do so much driving. We will for sure be back one day. Hopefully these videos can help you continue experiencing far away places as the long haul flights become more unbearable. That’s one of the reasons we are traveling so much while we are young and our bodies can handle it easier.
