      She is definitely mimicking someone. Kids are often the mirrors to ourselves. We love it when they mimic our good qualities, but if we laugh at them mimicking our bad traits, we're setting ourselves and them up for a horrible time when they're older. They will repeat what we see as cute and laughable. One day, usually in their teens, it will no longer be at all cute or funny and teaching them it is acceptable when they're young will only confuse them when they're older and find out it isn't cute or funny. A parent's job is to help a child grow into the best human being s/he can be, helping them fit into the world in a healthy way. If we lose sight of that, we are failing them.

I bemoan the transition from parents raising their children to be respectful to children running the show at home & in the classroom. Parents today may see this behavior as cute or funny coming from a toddler but it won’t be funny when that toddler is a tween or even worse…a teenager. You are so right. This was exactly like my niece 25 years ago. My sister laughed, but she stopped laughing when her daughter turned nine and had been so mouthy with all her teachers that the school said they were done and kicked her out. Home schooling went nowhere and this girl now at 27 has two kids ages 8 & 10, and works one day a week at Burger King. My sister supports them all and my niece is angry at her mother for not teaching her how to be a functioning member of society, instead of being on the outskirts. That kid put us all through Hell.

      Exactly. It paints you a good picture on why the world has turned out the way it has. These people grew up and became cold and uncaring of other people's feelings because they weren't allowed to show any emotion growing up out of fear of being beat and now they expect everyone else to be the same. They see people expressing their feelings as a weakness because that's what they were taught. Instead of listening and trying to understand why people feel the way they do (like their parents should have with them), they just tell you to shut up, toughen up, and get over it because they think they've been through worse.

Of course - mom could also be contributing to the behavior, too. Just sayin - maybe gramma, auntie, and momma's girlfriends and BFFS talk like that, too, as well as all the sassy TV they all probably watch.

Second, even if she picked that mess up from outside the home, in no way am I asking a 2 year old, “Will you just please let me talk?” 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Some people would say she needs a spanking, nope, that’s not the answer. She was taught to behave that way and that’s not her fault 🙅🏽‍♀️ The change needs to take place at the head, the rest will fall in line 👍🏽👍🏽

There are so many strong attributes which can be developed with this raw energy that could propel the child's future. Restraining or stopping this process could be a detriment but encouraging and channeling steering her positively; she might just turn out to be great.

    When I was a little child and I did talked back to my mother, well, that was a huge mistake. My mother slapped my face and the wall got me an other one. I didn’t talked back anymore. This happened 45 years ago and back then this kind of slap therapy was common in every family. I can tell we’re grown up just fine. My generation has a moral and respect.

    • @jeetujoy1635
      @jeetujoy1635 Год назад

      Fear is not morals and respect, you are missing that and promoting violence towards children….you may think you are just fine but you are not…many kids around me that were constantly hit have no bond with their mothers anymore, they learn to hide stuff and act differently around parents, which isn’t the just fine you are taking about…and have some conscience to not promote hitting children, many issues children are slapped for are so trivial, it just shows parents inability to understand and teach them, you only hit when you are impatient

    • @jeetujoy1635
