- Sir Keir Starmer’s speech to the Labour Party conference in Liverpool produced contrasting verdicts in Wednesday’s newspapers.
In his first conference speech as Prime Minister, Sir Keir warned of further tough decisions to turn the country around and set out plans to “clear out the Tory rot”, with a new era of political leadership creating a country “renewed by respect and service”.
The Independent’s John Rentoul joins Talk’s Mike Graham to discuss this further.

I really don't understand how anyone can defend labours actions .

During my long career in the Private Sector, I wasn't allowed to give or accept Freebies from suppliers or customers. Labour and the robotic Starmer are bang out of order.
I worked in local government and we had to sign agreeing to not receive gifts of any sort. I would have thought this would apply to the NHS which is where Mrs Stamer works or so he says

The only thing I have to look forward to is meeting up with and socialising with other pensioners in my village for the last hour or so in one of the local pubs in the village where I now live.
