    Beautiful love how ur dress 👗 turn out and u look beautiful 😍. I don’t like dresses that don’t have sleeves because I go to church also and very conservative. Always look for a way to do a simple sleeve thank u now I will always refer to ur video. Thank u so much 😊 God bless

    Thank you so much! It looks so MUCH better with cap sleeves and the new length is just perfect! You can't imagine how handy this tutorial is for me, bcs I often find sleeveless dresses on sale that I don't buy (I don't wear sleeves garments where I live). Not any more!

    Great idea... lovely dress and nice photos with your hubby.
    I was searching for a simple sleeve finish when I realized I was a little 'shy' on fabric. The armhole appears to be somewhat larger than I want for a sleeveless version so will attempt to modify and apply a cap sleeve. Wish me luck.

    I'm so thankful for you

    I get most everything at thrift stores which helps alleviate the deep breath before cutting. Thanks for the help.
    I don’t mind sleeveless but it makes some things look much better to have a cap sleeve.
    You look fabulous in your dress. ❤

    Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to watch. I've just bought a sleeveless jersey dress and it really needs some kind of sleeve. Your dress looks SO much better with cap sleeves, and hopefully, so will mine... :)

    Thanks for the tutorial. It would be nice to have a tutorial on a bolero jacket. In case you don't want to turn the dress to a dress with sleeves.
    Love the dress😍😍

      @@TheSewingChannel I'm so glad you showed step by step because for some reason I kept wanting to sew the straight lined edge along the inside arm hole. I just couldn't figure it out until I saw you do it. Thank you so much.

    Terrific 😍👍🏼! I too want to learn to do this. I have lots of church dresses 👗 that need sleeves. I live in Hot Texas and I get tired of pairing up my dresses with a denim jacket. I have a sewing machine but have only very basic understanding. Your formula looks great but it scared me a little. Will try with an old dress first.

    • @TheSewingChannel

      Don’t let it intimidate you. Definitely practice first. Once you learn this method then you will be able to add the simple cap sleeves to any item...🤓✅✂️let me know if you have questions 😊

    I’m loving on your scissors! Is there a place where I can get me a pair? Or can you recommend to me something similar? They seem as though they can help keep your hands from getting tired w/cutting a lot of fabric all @ once.

    Is it possible to go beyond the 1/3 measurement for the cap sleeve height if i want it a little longer?

    • @TheSewingChannel
      @TheSewingChannel  3 года назад +2

      I think so..... if you make it more then you may have problem lifting your arms. Try a mock up first✅
